  1. No I was talking to SneaksieDave. I installed the latest snapshot ran fine
  2. LOL the compiler was tripping over fucking spaces in the directory structure, for christs sakes this is the 21st century, what the hell is wrong with spaces these days, I'm not running dos here, fuck. Thanks for the help, it finished compiling and the exe is there now.
  3. Okay I did all of that, chose release build, hit build. It failed on the libxml2.lib I think. I can limit the compiler to 1 proc if that helps. Okay I'll try to build it again thanks for the help
  4. I'm set up with VS 2008 on XP 32bit SP3 with all Dot Net Framework updates installed I don't foresee a problem, thanks for the new build EDIT: Just out of curiosity, why aren't you using SP3?
  5. AFAIK that can happen if the mod that the shortcut is pointing to, doesn't exist. Also try going into the Doom 3 directory and running the doom 3 exe file directly instead of using the shortcut to see if it will even open.

  8. Okay I have VS 2008 installed and got the source for DR of SVN. I built the solution but I can't find any exe's anywhere. Am I missing a step or is something missing from the wiki?
  9. You should also be able to just add the idnet.ua-corp.com to the hosts file and block it that way. Open your hosts file (you'll have to search for it) located in Windows\System32\Drivers\etc, and add this to the end: 127.0.0.1 idnet.ua-corp.com That should work. Any request from that server should be redirected to the localhost.

  11. Yeah that was the bug that I was talking about a few weeks ago. But when I lose escape functionality, when I close DR it crashes.
  12. I didn't know I could commit to the SVN repository, I uploaded the corrected version of the file, do an update and that should fix it.

  14. Okay I can confirm it's the tdm_sfx_impact.sndshd file, I renamed it and DarkRadiant loaded fine. So something is wrong in this file I'll take a look at it. EDIT and I backed it up to save the state
  15. Fuck this just started for me now, for no reason whatsoever, all I did was an SVN update for Darkmod and now I get that crash it's the wrap_oal.dll that's causing problems it seems. I reinstalled OpenAL but that didn't help and it crashes everytime when loading the sound manager
  16. Gone are the days of Quake 2 limitations, but the idea behind this requires total access from everywhere. I'm trying to break up the level with actual geometry to see if that helps.
  17. I see, I guess the issue I'm having is that it's one big room, but there's no other way of doing a crater map. Is there a vertex limit?
  18. So I created a crater map that's 33868 x 33868 units, it compiled fine (took forever lol), but when I try and run it in DarkMod, doom3.exe crashes. What's the max map size?

  20. This is just a thought but are you using Vista 32bit or Vista 64bit?

  22. I provided you a link to the latest snapshot build. Please uninstall your version and download the latest one which is pre version 8. EDIT: Also what is the video card in your computer? What version is your display driver are they up to date?
  23. What's your video card and which version of the drivers do you have? Also try installing dot net versions 1,1.1,2,3,3.5 (Not sure if this is needed but this is what I have on my vista laptop and it works fine) Make sure that you pointed DarkRadiant to the proper directories in the Doom 3 folder tree. Reinstall Directx10 Redistributable (Or Network Installation) What happens exactly after you click on the DarkRadiant Icon? Which version did you download?   24. Okay I understand the first part properly, but I'm not sure about the second paragraph. What do you mean "whether the map acutally works in Doom 3"? The map in question is an ID map, from vanilla doom 3. DarkRadiant does not allow us to rotate the entity which is the exact problem.
