Graphic Problems

Hello

I`ve just downloaded your mod, which has a very unique and cool style, i like it, but the problem is im messing around with the graphic settings for a few hours and the problem is TDM won`t change the settings, i can`t switch to window mode, can`t turn of music or change the resolution in the game or even when i restart, i`ve the same problems with doom3 too, i don`t know what im doing wrong, the mod itself works fine.

Some details:

OS Windows 7

Doom3 patched to v.1.3.1

TDM newest version

Hey there,

 

Since you're running Win7, do you have doom3 installed to C:\Program Files(x86)\Doom 3\ or similar?

If you do, Win7 + UAC will prevent non-admin privilege stuff from writing files into its directory in Program Files\. Try running as admin and check if they save, otherwise it's strongly recommended that you move the directory to a location like C:\games\doom3\, note the lack of a space. This might solve a few other issues too

 

If that doesn't work, what you can do is set up everything as you wish, then open the console using ctrl+alt+~ and "writeconfig myconfig", this will save it as a separate file, which you can then use 'exec myconfig' to set everything from there, if you want to get fancy you can find your DoomConfig.cfg or whatever it's called and add 'exec myconfig' to the end of it.

 

It's also 5am and chances are I've typed the wrong commands and or it's impossible to read this post... so YMMV.
