3 Lit fireplace prefabs added to SVN plus fireflames def

3 fireplace prefabs added to SVN with flames already burning in a log fire on a grate...

 

tdm_fireplace_brick_lit.pfb

tdm_fireplace_stone_lit.pfb

tdm_fireplace_wood_lit.pfb

 

New entity def for light_fireflames...

 

A new entity def for entitydef light_fireflames added to SVN with extinguishable flickering flames with fireplace sound ready to add to your campfire etc. (note that three lit fireplace prefabs uploaded to.

 

The light radius is probably too big imo because for some reason the settings in the def are over-ridden when added to a map.

Very nice indeed :) Don't worry about the light, this is easily adjusted.

 

Btw, don't see them in SVN yet, did you not commit them yet?

Thanks for making that entityDef. Anyone should feel free to add to tdm_lights . def if they make a nice light/particle flame combo that's not already covered by the existing ones (there are only 3 so far, candle, torch, and now larger flame). Maybe we could use a gas flame with a more blue color? Anyway, just wanted to let people know they could add to that def file, just copy/paste your entity spawnargs in there (model_lit, model_extinguished, light color, sound, etc), then set the name next to entityDef to something unique and descriptive.

      i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
      tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

      Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!
