New to TDM Mission Questions

Hello, I just started playing TDM and I was wondering.... Are missions always marked 1,2,3, etc if they are in a series? What about ones with similar names, for example: "The Builder's Blocks", "The Builder's Roads", and "The Builder's Influence"; these were all done by different authors as the site says, but I wonder before I play them if I am playing out of sequence.

I've been playing in order of release date, but it would be nice to know for certain, thanks.

Don't worry about similar names. For example, with Builders in this universe, there's bound to be more than a few missions with "Builders" in their names. This doesn't mean they're related.

When you see numbers (for example "WS1:", "WS2:", and "WS3:" you should play them in order. There are a few mission sets that are numbered.

As for the rest, play them in any order you like.

Welcome and have fun!

The Missions link on the TDM main page has all the series correctly numbered/ordered as far as I know. The Thomas Porter series is a good example (and many great missions).

You can use that as a guide when using the ingame downloader or you can download them from there and toss them in your "fms" directory as .pak4 files. When you launch the game and click the "New Mission" in-game, it will show the new ones you've placed in the "fms" directory.

Was checking out old translation packs and decided to fire up TDM 1.07. Rightful Property with sub-20 FPS areas yay! ( same areas run at 180FPS with cranked eye candy on 2.12 )

i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!
