  1. Do you have an example of such a URL?
  2. I suggest you try to completely empty your cache. This is not happening to me in neither IE, Opera or Mozilla.
  3. I'm pretty sure that is because you haven't emptied your browser cache. I had the exact same problem in Opera 9.* until I refreshed the cached client-script files.
  4. Good point, that is just dumb. I'll figure it out.
  5. Moved your post here for discussion. Oh, CAPTCHA's work, but it depends on each system on how good they are. The previous version of IPB had a much weaker CAPTCHA than the one we have now. That one was 'cracked' so bots could automatically sign up to IPB 2.1.* forums. As far as I know, the system in version 2.2.2 has not been cracked yet which makes it harder for spambots to sign up.
  6. Hey guys. The forums have been successfully upgraded, although it took longer than I thought due to some extensive mysql queries that had to be run. This version of IPB is the newest, and it includes changes, new features and more. Please have a look around! IMPORTANT: Since a lot of the client-script files have been updated it is mandatory to empty your cached files from this forum. You can either empty your browser cache if you want to (check the settings), or you can do a hard refresh (this is usually done by holding the Ctrl-button while you hit 'Refresh'). Yes, the skin is currently toe default IPB skin, but this will be changed ASAP. It takes some time to update the changes in the original darkmod-skin, so please be patient. If you spot anything out of order (e.g. bugs) or you have suggestions or general feedback, please use this thread. Because of a new CAPTCHA (Completely Automatic Public Turing Test to Tell Computers and Humans Apart) system introduced in this version, I have now disabled the manual validation process of new members. Cheers, ~m2
  7. Alright, the forum has successfully been upgraded to IPB version 2.2.2. If you have any comments, bug reports, suggestion or general feedback, post it here. Cheers, ~m2
  8. I will upgrade the DarkMod forums this Friday to the newest IPB version. This will hopefully help us stop the spammers from signing up so we can get rid of the manual authentication process. The forums will be unavailable for some time, and the skin might not look normal after the upgrade. Just a heads up. Cheers, ~m2
  9. As already mentioned, the server's memory was overloaded yesterday and this resulted in problems. I fixed it tho and I haven't noticed anything today (other than the skin cache that was corrupted). Those of you with troubles in Firefox, give Opera a try.
  10. lol @ Scottish independence forum. We've taken action to hopefully stop this crazy spam attack now.
  11. That's a bad idea, what about the genuine users signing up and wanting to post? Seriously, the spam problem here is not big at all.
  12. We already have that in place. Image verification images can't stop humans from registering and posting spam tho.
  13. There is, vBulletin introduced multi-quote abilities in the 3.6 version that was released a week ago or so. I'm about to upgrade the Black Cat Forums, but not sure when TTLG will do it.
  14. Complete! I just transfered modetwo.net as the last website over to the new server. Downtime was less than an hour. PHP is still being served at the old server (until modetwo.net is updated in DNS with the new server IP), but the mysql-database is on the new server. This way we are all using the same database until the domain has switched over.
  15. The company I'm hosted with is migrating all their servers from one datacentre to another. Instead of leasing servers from ThePlanet, they've now grown so much that they're able to buy their own hardware. This means a faster server for me at the same price. And because they change datacentres the hosting staff also gets physical access to the servers 24/7 - no more waiting for ThePlanet engineers to reboot a server if something goes awfully wrong (not that it ever does). I've already recieved the new account, and within 3 weeks I will have to migrate the websites over to the new server. This shouldn't have much impact on these forums tho, as I'm going to move everything over before I change the modetwo.net's IP-address. A few hours downtime at the most. This is just a heads up. I'll update this thread once I have an exact time I will do this.
  16. I'm running backups nightly, so no worries.
  17. I've had some problems with the server today due to the harddrive getting full. The problem is now solved. This problem also made the forum database corrupt, so if you were getting SQL-error messages earlier then it was caused by this. I repaired the database, and everything seems to be back in order now.
  18. A long list of bugfixes, improvements and some new features: IPB 2.1.2 IPB 2.1.3 IPB 2.1.4 IPB 2.1.4 Security fix
  19. There, the logo is okay. And it seems like everything else is working aswell. Good, good...
  20. IPS just released a new version of IPB because of a security issue. I figured it was about time to upgrade, so this have now been done. I haven't reverted/updated the templates yet (that's why the logo is missing etc), but I will do this ASAP. Also, if you stumble across some error/misconfiguration - please post here and tell me about it. Thanks!
