  1. LOL. Yeah, it's always better to keep their mystery. In fact, it's probably better if we did'nt even say much about them, just to keep their mystery. BTW, I noticed that the public bit is sorta empty as of late - probably after we told them it'll be a year . I think it's time to update them just a tad . What does everyone else think? --Dram

    Bloom For Doom3

    So there you have it. Some people like it and some don't. I for one, do like it. Ok, here it is: Install instructions: 1: Extract the rar file anywhere. 2: Open folder which you extracted it to and double-click on psscontrol2.exe 3: "Browse" for HDRish.pss in the All folder. 4: Double-click it and there you go! 5: Now, to use it is the most complicated thing in the world: Just leave it running and play a game. Also, there is another shader there which is "Artist's concept drawing" which makes everything look like a drawing (pretty cool ). A lot like Thirteen (game). After you've tried it out, please give some comments . EDIT: Note that in the screens, I have r_lightscale to 4 (not the default, 2) Anyway, here's the file: SmartShader.rar

    Renzatic sent this to me a day ago, and trying it, I had to share it with you guys . Ok, what it is: It's a smartshader for DirectX 9 Video cards (only ATI) which basically adds bloom to any OpenGL game. I tested in in Doom3 and Thievery - very nice . Here are 4 screens, comparing with and without bloom: Start of game (no Bloom):

  13. Have you got the editor in NOT fullscreen? (it's got problems with it) To turn it on or off, in doomconfig.cfg, put: r_fullscreen 0 or, make a shortcut to Doom3.exe and put this to get the editor into fullscreen automatically on start: (path to doom3)\Doom3.exe +r_fullscreen 0 +seta com_AllowConsole 1 +editor +set sv_pure 0 +set fs_game darkmod +vid_restart --Dram

    Thanks . I'd need about 2 floors, 2 (or 3) toilets, depends on you, about 2 master bedrooms for each floor, and 2 (or 3) guest rooms on each floor. If you could, please do map out the interior, and it would be good to see some tall ceilings, possibly with some chandeliers, etc. Oh yes, forgot, it would also be cool to have a kitchen, dining room (large if possible) and (if you want to bother) a basement and an attic. All in Thief style. Most importantly I thank you and it is greatly appreciated . Kind regards, Dram

    hmm, dunno. I don't remember Hammers even having gauntlets, but I reckon that sounds ok. Though wait for more answers I think . PS: KF, could you please draw up and send me a drawing of a small mansion (interior and exterior if possible). Please KF , I am absoultely hopeless when it comes to drawing houses. --Dram
  21. Hows this for an idea: How about if the player can choose between those 2 lightgems (obviously if he chooses not to have the compass) because both are quite spectacular.
