    ok, so I didn't get the hair done tonight. tomorrow normal mapped body: it's not a last minute picture, I've fixed a few things with it, but I'll put more up tomorrow.
  3. ok, so I'm moving this guy here, gonna post the latest pics I got. base Hi-res: base Low Poly: Normal Mapped head: (will be adding hair soon) I'm laying out the UV's on the body now, so later tonight I'll have everything else normaled up, and I'll get everything ready for texturing. He'll have hair tonight too

    I would hate to play that level with 9fps, but it does look good (especially with the emitters back in). Also if there were proper textures on it... but don't do that, it would take too long I don't remember seeing that character model though. now take what you learned and apply it for the dark mod!

  8. 12mb RAR file. It's full of wood, rust, gravel, cobble stone and bricks. These photo's are all free to use, no restrictions, no trouble if they are used for anything. I thought they might be useful for everyone that needs em.
  9. I came up with mine a few years ago actually. I really like it and it's grown on me, and for those of you who know of KoToR, I came up Corth before them!!! Anyway, the short of it is: I live in the cold north...

    Animation List

    We wont need to do death animations unless its for a cutscene, or a scripted death sequence (like you want something to die a certain way). Doom takes the force of the killing blow and applies it to the ragdoll. So we'll just need to setup the ragdoll really good

  12. Wow, you guys are quick Thanks for the vote of confidence, I can rig and animate as well, I'm just not sure of doom3's character setups (like what's allowed and what's not), so if I had that info I can help out there as well.
  13. I don't mind my stuff being posted at all. A little about me: I'm 23, I live in Edmonton Alberta. I recieved a diploma in 3D animation and digital compositing at a place called Dev Studios (2003/2004) then I got an internship working for Plastic Thought Studios to produce a wonderbees trailer in which I rigged 4 of the 5 main characters and did facial blends for 3 of them. I'm an avid gamer, I don't have anything against the source engine (I hope that doesn't matter ) however I like Normal maps, and doom has normal maps I've been following you guys for a while, I love the thief games, thief 2 got stolen from me before I finished it, and I play the demo for deadly shadows alot (I swear I'll pick it up one day!) I havn't had much spare time -before- to finish off a character of my own, but now I'll be able to give more time to it, just the past few days I've been working on one, low poly and highpoly, it's based off of a Sister of Battle from Warhammer40k, here's 3 days of work: Texturing isn't my best area, but I CAN do it, it just takes me a little longer than everything else. The skin map I did for the elf character took a little less than a day, and I havn't started with the rest of her textures. I wish I had more examples of my texturing, as the fallen paladin character on my website is a rather poor one If you guys have any questions, I'd love to answer them
  14. Hey everyone, I visit this place alot and have recently started wanting to mod. I use maya and photoshop. I know how to create normal maps, I can layout UV's (without a fuss!) I'm pretty much just interested in characters, though I can create the UV maps for the objects if need be. I can work on texture maps as well, but their not my strong point. My msn is sanguine_fate@hotmail.com here's some pics from my site (Coronach.org) there's also some texture examples, and photoshop pictures there too. high poly head highpoly hands normal mapped head I kept reading on this forum that you guys had all the modelers you need right now, and then I read on moddb that you were still looking, so I figured I'd sign up here and see if my services would be welcomed.
