  1. I've had a great time with this mission. Thanks for releasing it, even if it was not originally planned to be a mission... One gripe: Questions: PS: This mission is still not listed on http://www.mindplace...od/missions.php - shouldn't it be?
  2. There is a list of maps with AAS issues on Linux/TDM1.01 in my initial post here. Also, in that thread Ivan_the_B suggests using runAAS in stead of dmap to fix this. It is indeed a lot faster.
  3. Thanks, will try that next time...
  4. The pause-before-start function is a good idea. I like the simplicity of the in-game loader If there's a need for a complex, external mission manager then Garrettloader claims to support TDM. (Haven't actually tried it.)
  5. Me too Other than that, great mission! Lots of nice readables
  6. Thanks a lot for the swift reply! I just tried it with "builder's", and the warning is gone. I'm off to Braeden now... Edit: Judging from Builder's Influence, these warnings should definitely not be ignored - do the dmap thing, or AI patrol paths can be all screwed up.
  7. I'm looking forward to playing "The Builder's Influence", but I thought I'd better ask this first... At the very start of the mission there is an on-screen warning: "Warning: AAS32 is out of date!" What does it mean, and can it be safely ignored? As an experiment I installed and started the old missions, that I played on TDM 1.00, and I get this warning with several (builder's influence, crown of penitence, outpost, trapped) and a similar warning about AAS_rat for a few others (return to the city, living expenses, lucia, chalice, thieves). Is this normal? I remember seeing the AAS_rat warning before (with TDM 1.00) but only for one mission, as I recall. This is on a fresh installation of Ubuntu 9.10 and TDM 1.01.
  8. The updater is a 64-bit binary, is that intentional?
  9. Feeling adventurous I grabbed the code and patch, ran into the same problems as Hyeron here and copied his solution (build in a Hardy VM). I started over on Patently Dangerous, and it is indeed fixed, save game size is down from 425 MB to 27 MB... And the game no longer crashes on reload, so I could finally get rid of 'the man upstairs'. Thanks for the help.
  10. I can usually get stuff compiled when needed, but an 'official' Linux fix for this would definitely be appreciated
  11. I've run into this bug too, with Patently Dangerous. For Linux (Ubuntu 9.10), compiling the SVN code should fix it, yes? Will Sparhawk let me in if I ask nicely?
  12. I finally got to play through the training mission, enjoying it immensely... The lockpicking! The physics! The water! The effortless mantling! The swinging ropes...! Everything seems to be just right, and very thiefy indeed. I'm looking forward to playing the other missions, and hopefully many more. Congratulations on completing this ambitious project. I'm a little worried now that you won't have time to update it when you're all hired as consultants on Thief 4...
  13. This leaning problem is present also in my native install on Ubuntu karmic RC. It can be fixed by disabling key repeat, so it's probably caused by the same x-server bug that breaks mantling when playing thief 2 on wine? Edit: First post? In that case, hi everyone...
