  1. Here are the two things I asked. 1. Can you Interact with/KO/Kill story centric characters within the City Hub? 2. How much story depth do these side quests have? Are there any that tie in strongly with the main narrative? I am seriously baffled as too why my questions were removed.
  2. One of the mods deleted my questions... ಠ_ಠ
  3. Ask a question about the "City Hub." Hopefully, the City Hub is a vast improvement over the one in Thief: Deadly Shadows, with less hilarious glitches. Though I prefer the more traditional method of progression, level by level, this City Hub could be fun if done well.
  4. I don't think I can even be cautiously optimistic about this game. I've been in this song and dance several times before, and I am not getting fooled again. Do not mistake me however, I don't want this game to fail. Maybe it will surprise me, but it's doubtful. Interesting interview I found. They go very in depth about the story, and beware, for there be spoilers. Other than that, we see some new gameplay. Strangely enough, the story actually mildly peaks my interest. It seems to pick up after Deadly Shadows what with Garrett having an apprentice. We'll see Eidos.
  5. And to great effect as well. The minimalistic approach works far better in my opinion.
  6. They've just unvelied the box art for the game. And if I'm to speak honestly? I kind of like it. It gives off the same vibes I had looking at the artwork from the first three games, but also looks unique and has it's own flare.
  7. Thief II: The Metal Age is the best in the series, but definitely play Thief: The Dark Project/Gold first otherwise current events of the story and setting will seem a slight bit confusing.
  8. It seems like Eidos isn't willing to relay to much new info now that they have seen the huge amount of fan backlash. Funny, considering that they've said numerous times before that they're respecting the "DNA" of the Thief franchise. But after that dreadful presentation at E3 and the insulting remarks the developers at Eidos Montreal shot in the direction of the fans, I really don't see how Thief 4 could even be the bastard child of Dishonored. I initially thought that Stephen Russell getting kicked to the curb was as bad as it got, but apparently I was blissfully ignorant of the fact that more was being conducted behind the curtain. With it's bastardization and utter contempt of the Thief lore, contextual design, and rather uninspired art design, I have to say that this is no where close to even a used purchase on my part. Hell, I'm not even sure if it's worth keeping up with it's development. All I know is... that it's Thief, or at least, carries the Thief name, and I am doomed to forever stay with the series, even if I'm accompanying it off a cliff. I'm just here trying to ensure it doesn't make the wrong decisions, which I somehow know it will. Eidos Montreal, you disappoint me.
  9. If you excuse me, I'm going to go kill myself right now...
  10. Picky, picky... Attractive woman are cosplaying as our favorite character. If there is one thing to enjoy about this new reboot, it's this.
  11. Operating System - Windows 7 Professional CPU - Intel Core i7 2670 (2.20 GHz) System RAM - 8 GB Video Card - Nvidia GeForce GTX 560M
  12. This always bothered me in the Thief series. When Thief: Deadly Shadows added rag doll physics (with absolutely hilarious consequences) I thought that certain NPCs would make noise upon hitting the ground. To my disappointment, that wasn't the case. This feature not only adds realism but it also prevents players from wandering around aimlessly and blackjacking guards. It could also add some interesting gameplay possibilities, like causing distractions with unconscious/dead NPCs. We really appreciate the effort of the team! I cannot wait for 2.0!
  13. Good point. In Thief they're always raised. It's a bit distracting, but not game breaking.
  14. Well, I deduced that much. I was just wondering which details they were conflicted about.
  15. That's a damn shame. I wonder what differences they had that made so many choose to leave the studio.
  16. Didn't Paul Weir, Adam Alim, and several other Eidos Montreal employees working on Thief quit about a year ago?
  17. Is there any news on who is doing the music? I'm hoping for Eric Brosius to return. If he doesn't, I really doubt we'll see Thief reach the same heights as the first three entries.
  18. I doubt the Keepers will be involved. When they said that all previous factions wouldn't appear, I'm sure they meant all the factions, even one as pivotal and important as the Keepers. Eidos Montreal has stated that Garrett was merely a street urchin, and grew into his skills out of necessity rather than being found and trained by the Keepers, at least that's what I've deduced from the somewhat contradictory and unclear interviews that they've given. If so, this is very woeful news. It would be bad enough if Garrett were not trained by the Keepers, but to not have them in the game altogether is just absurd.
  19. Well... that's strange. I've heard that his eye ties into the Focus Mode, meaning that this Focus Mode will play a part in the story. ...brilliant.
  20. Bad news for Eidos Montreal...
