  1. Thanks oDDity, that is a really great idea. I really can't wait to try this out.
  2. We're happy to be making it. Glad to have you're support.
  3. Great work _Atti_, that looks stellar!!
  4. Hmmm, I really like the larger one on the right. I think it conveys the blackjackness much better. Great job Tyrot.
  5. Oh Wow,that is looking fantastic! Great job. I'm constantly blown away by the quality of the work.
  6. Reminds me of that Thief 1 level...I think it was the Ramierez Mansion. One of the guards is teasing the other about having babysit the Masters Burricks. The first guard says something like "...you'll be down there, rubbin' their Tummies". The other guy is livid, "WHAT? I'll quit first. JUST YOU WAIT!" I loved the little details like that in those early games. They didn't do anything for the plot, but it felt like there was a world going on around you.
  7. It's the Canadian Army!! [The Canadian Army intervenes in a War - "Break it up fellas! We've got bacon and beer for everybody!"]
  8. LOL That is an awesome description. Love the patch on his leg. Poor sod, I don't envy him in the slightest.
  9. That's hillarious. That has got to go into the quotes!! On the topic of the Belcher head. WOW! That's one scary ass beast. We had a discussion a long time ago about Belchers having a sac that inflated under their neck before they belched out the gas. Kind of like how a frog inflates. Just wondering if that's still on the table. It would look great on this creature.
  10. TYROT. Hey, don't lose the faith man. You're work is great! If anything seems out of place, we'll help to guide you along. That's what the team is here for. We help keep each other pointed in the right direction. Don't dismiss your work so easily. It's top notch.
  11. I knew you looked familiar Doc.
  12. LOL I like it. Actually, they did that in Thievery with a few lines. I remember the guards in Thievery saying..."You're a pincushion now". Actually, they said it a lot. At any rate, there will no doubt be a few classic lines in there for the fans, but I'll be letting the actors find their own personalities to keep things feeling natural...although, they will get a fair amount of guidance from me. This brings up
  13. The guy outside the doctors office said it was a new painkiller. Something called "crack"? He didn't even need my health card...he took straight cash. Nice doctor...if somewhat unconventional.
  14. Wondering if I might make a suggestion? Depending on how this can be made. Opens with the crackling fire in our view...we hear the sound of a rope arrow ...thwooop-twang..slight creaking noises..the camera begins to pan right towards the window, we hear a creak and light footsteps. The camera finally settles on the window only to reveal that it is wide open and the rain is pouring in, but there isn't anyone in sight. The camera continues to zoom in and settle as your video demonstrated. Then the rest unfolds as you described with the silhouette and such. I really like the mood Springheel. It's very nice.
  15. There is a neat little plugin available called Quick Time Alternate. Much nicer than having to install the full quicktime suite. The plugin is free. Just do a little search on google and you should find it right away.
  16. Sorry, I'm just a little bit hyper today. Had to blow off some energy.
  17. ALL IS WELL AGAIN!!! Our annoying neighbors who have plagued us with their rudeness are finally moving out!!! PRAISE BE!
  18. Well, I'm into day two of getting Minimalist Project 1.3 wrapped up. Fixing the fonts is such a time consuming job. The q3font tool that I used to create them only makes the output tga's in 256 X 256 blocks, so if I were to make the font size any larger than 16pt they spill into a second tga. While this will work fine in doom, it can't be used in T3 since they customized the way these sheets are used so that the game only recognized 1 sheet...or at least that's all I can manage to make it recognize. The letters look really crappy and low res at 256X256 16pt...so I had to blow the sheet up to 512X512 in photoshop and then replace every letter by hand. Sorry for the rant...I do enjoy the end result...but getting there is a really a trial!
  19. Heh heh....I remember the C64. Back in the days before Microsoft turned the "Bluescreen" into a symbol of frustration, it was a symbol of fun and learning. Shame on you Microsoft!
  20. Nope, can't see it being an issue really.
  21. With the Imperium and now Thief 2X in Beta, it feels like the Dark Engine is gearing up for a graceful last hurrah. It's going to show us all what it can do.
  22. In the original games, didn't they take original classic paintings and slightly modify them to make them fit in a bit more?
  23. Don't forget "The 7th Crystal".
