      Looking back I think I did what I could. If I was better in linear algebra, there was some space for improvement in frontend culling, etc. But on the skill level I'm at, I'm pretty much stuck.

      nVidia 1050 2GB 128-bit DDR5

      The difference is huge. As long the shadow atlas size fits the VRAM it's 60+fps, stable.

      I can see a couple of nVidia specific problems already.

      I think we need to see Intel corporate earnings to drop before they start paying attention to their graphics performance.

      On the other hand, the previous system was 15W, CPU+GPU. This one is 25W CPU only. Not that it matters much from the user perspective.

    Man, who needs parallax cubemaps when you could have RTX? But seriously if they got demos of Quake 2 running it, what would it take for RTX to run on something like TDM?

    I'm thinking about buying a cheap Radeon card and HDMI switcher to toggle between NVIDIA and AMD GPUs. Does it sound like a feasible setup?
