Only the very good ones and the ones that don't feel exactly the same when replaying.

I am using Dark Radiant 1.6.1 x64 on Windows7 64bit (Intel Core i5 2500K; 4GB RAM; Radeon HD5770) and my camera window (3d window) in Dark Radiant doesn't seem to update properly. When I right click into it and move my mouse so that my view changes, it freezes at some parts and only moves on if I turn my mouse over and over. It kinda feels like a lag but it won't update (only if I turn my mouse that much that I "Skip" the part, that is causing the screen to freeze. Sometimes it doesn't even update if I Shift+left click brushes / objects in it. This even happens with only a little room and some objects in it. It doesn't seem to happen if I turn on the light computation. What the..?

I am following this discussions with interest and I am also glad, that I have asked this question as there's so much to talk about

Very interesting, thanks for your replies! I found this topic important, so I wanted to ask both, mappers and players about it. I only gave you these two options, because otherwise everyone would have been klicking on "both" and that's not a meaningful result I believe. That randomnes thief2 blueroom is very funny. I've read about this years ago when I was workin' in DromEd. Now I do recall and I have to laugh a bit about it

Hey thiefs, I wondered which patrol style most players like. Of course you may like both of them, but that's not the question of course static patrols: Like in the Thief series guards follow a constant route with no (or only a few) variations. Or they stand at a place and turn around in definite times. dynamic patrols: Guards move along random routes (where they come to cruches and randomly make a choise in which direction they move next). They also stand and wait at some points for a random period of time. Which one do you enjoy more in gameplay? Thanks for replying!

Which flames do I have to extinguish to see the AI relight it? I only heard them mumble so far. -

tiped a long text but after accidentally pressing the wrong button, all got lost .. so I am just gonna say: great! -
No I don't have them either. No idea who did the recordings and if he has the lines - I would have to hear and translate them. Is this Wolfenstein? Sounds like a funny game ^^
-
7upman, are you kiddin'? I have no problem sacrificing the time for recording voice packs for a character to do a contribute to this mod. But we need to arrange who does speak/translate which lines. Hm, it's hard to describe.. I mean everyone must know which lines for which character he has to speak. E.g. "guard_male01" spoken by Tels, "servant_male03" by SeriousToni, etc. But I don't have the overview right now, which lines I had to record for "servant_male03". Are the affected sounds sorted by this way? So I may can open these libraries and find out, which lines I have to translate. I would propose that I translate these lines into german and someone else has a look for correction over it before I'm "composing" those. There's not goin' to be a Hitler ingame, or is it 7upman?

Donnerwetter! That looks sweet! Thanks again!

Yes I guess that this should be done by people who are native speakers mein Freund But as I said, a decent voice and a studio would be necessary. Guess my Karaoke-Microphone isn't a proper thing for this ^^
-
Thanks a lot for the hint! I remember playing TFC in my childhood, so I gonna give this a try.
-
Oh okay! But shouldn't it happen then everytime someone dies? It seems (to me) to be related on certain sounds!
-
As for the topic voices in TDM I wanted to add, that many of the death screams for the AI are played too late. I mean between reaching the 0 health status of the NPC and start playing the die sound there is often a long phase of silence. Then, when the body lies on the ground, the sound starts to play, which is kind of confusing (for me). This is not the case for every sound, so I think, in some cases there is just a slight pause / silence in the beginning of the .wav file (or whatever). Just wanted to let you know as it annoys me very often (don't know what other players might think - in fact, I believe they would say "you're a master thief, you don't kill people" )

Great work so far, it's a whole new (good) feeling to see the texts in german as it is pretty hard for me (mostly the readables) to follow up. Are there any plans to do german (french/italic/...) voice acting? I would help but I think I can't do that wonderful rough guard voice acting ^^°

Hey, no as I already said I only installed the graphics driver, so there is no CCC and no CAI. I don't know much about hardware graphics driver, but I guess that's not an issue caused by Catalyst A.I. only.
-
Hey, I don't want to bother you, but I think this has to be mentioned (?) I did a fresh install of my whole OS. (before: XP - now: Win7) and as I downloaded the graphics driver I chose only the display driver, so there was no Catalyst Control Centre or Catalyst AI. I just have installed the drivers now and still the screen is upside down when using Post Processing. Also the skybox is turned upside down (even if I DEACTIVATE Post Processing) and it is moving as I am moving the mouse! This can make you feel sick, believe me :-D Outdoor scenes become really really hated because of that. As there may be no fix I might have to live with this but I wonder how my graphics card can cause so much annoying errors to this game.

Fan Mission: Alberic's Curse by b1k3rdude (Updated: 01/11/2014)
SeriousToni replied to Bikerdude's topic in Fan Missions
Pretty nice and scary one! Really liked this and played through. But maybe instead of revealing the optional missions, you could have bring them into more context via books etc. to make the player want to get them by himself, not for the goals - but naahh, what am I sayin' .. great mission! -
Are you sure? Wasn't pointed out clearly enough (for me). If so, he should let walk him by the window outside. But also the place wasn't the right.. why in the bedroom? It's just so mysterious ^^

I didn't find out why

Nice work!

I got 16000 kbit, but recently my speed is much too low and I'm gonna contact my provider tomorrow May I can help you in another way. What do you need? EDIT: I currently noticed, that some windows are cut off in the secondary window and I can't seem to move them to fit in the window (see screen) See the surface inspector in the left screen??
