  1. So, I've noticed that when a AI that doesn't move is watching loot I have to steal, my only safe bet is to grasp from the dark and immediately mantle something to prevent the AI from potentially making physical contact with me. Failing that, a noise maker is theoretically usable but often isn't due to the fact that holding weaponry lights up your index. I feel as though this is clearly noted by some maps and mapmakers, but quite often not others. It needs to be emphasized that I only make this thread and bring this up for discussion because how the AI acts upon realizing there is a thief in the room seems to be purely RNG from a gameplay perspective from one attempt to the next.
  2. Very few people actually fully support or prefer Trump compared to other potential candidates, but for many he becomes an answer of preference over Hilary. You need to remember, the republican party actively fought against using him as their candidate the whole time, and many people agree with this sentiment, to say the least. For the record, while I'm not informed enough to make any real discussion out of it, and disclaim any reasonable amount of ability to answer question on the matter, I was personally hoping for Ted Cruz vs Bernie Sanders, as were many others. I feel like if that had happened, we'd see a real choice for America to make rather than two of the least likable candidates possible.
  3. I'm not about to agree or disagree on any of this, I'm just going to point out this is why World War 3 with Russia being a potential result of voting for Hillary was a major failing of her campaign in terms of public perception. It caused this entire aspect of Trump, the nuke button, to suddenly vanish as a potential argument when compared to having incredibly bad relations with the standing president of Russia.
  4. I need you to record footage in game, wearing specific paint and clothing. I would use downloaded Youtube footage, but everyone uses non-default camouflage when my challenge run will stick to default, with breaks only taken in one specific exceptional case.
  5. I mean, if you expect any one specific quote I don't really have one. It genuinely is more of a "how he carries himself" affair, his age and his political affiliation, it just ends up being something I'm not used to. Thankfully, my opinion in this case doesn't really matter, as I'm not Canadian. Never said I supported or disliked Trump. That said I tend to not enjoy websites that change target demographics as hard as Cracked did.
  6. I absolutely loathe Cracked, but surprisingly they've offered a very solid article explaining it.
  7. The term I'm applying here is "ridiculous", because every time he does something it makes me laugh since he does it in such a confident and often passive aggressive way. I'm not really used to seeing that. Now it looks like we get to see if a Trump presidency can astound me anymore in characterization than that.
  8. To be honest I think this entire debate is going to go in circles due to the subjective nature of it. Keeping in mind, I live in Texas and have met several people as hilariously boisterous as Trump with as much to back themselves up with but I've never actually met anybody so proud to be progressive in such an offhand manner as Trudeau. Simply put I think this is a regional difference, not something I'd put under approval rating debate territory. Remember, politics is where the quote "respect the robot" comes from.
  9. Edit: Issue Solved Thanks to the generous donation of a fan I now have a capture card (and the footage I need) of my own! *End of Edit* Odd request, but I'm running Metal Gear Solid 3 at the moment and I'm doing it through emulation... Which leaves much to be desired in the area of cutscenes. In order to show cutscenes with the camouflage and face paint I'll be wearing I need someone with the ability to record footage of Metal Gear Solid 3 HD to do so for me using the proper attire. I only ask this because I really cannot emphasize enough, everyone on Youtube is wearing non-default clothing. You'll get a special thanks in the description when the video gets put up if you wish, thank you in advance for the time you took to read this. Edit: To make this easier for anyone to understand, all I need is you to capture footage of your run on Metal Gear Solid 3 HD. The only stipulations You need to wear olive drab camouflage and splitter face in the virtuous missionNo alerts in the virtuous mission (this ensures a codec reflects my run)In operation snake eater you have to wear tiger stripe camouflage and no face paintWear the scientist outfit during the meeting with GraninDon't kill Raikov during his kidnapping (this ensures a codec reflects my run)For the finale, pick the revolver on the left and don't fire at allHope this makes things easier on anyone to understand.
  10. He's a showboat for an ideology that hasn't really attracted too many until now. This lends him a certain ridiculousness that I don't think either of our candidates will be able to match, policies aside. This is a fake quote, and people were able to believe it because he is just that young and confident in himself, something rarely seen this high up in politics on this end of the spectrum currently.
  11. I intend to leave my stance unknown because frankly I'm tired of the overpoliticization of everything, but I think I can as an American take pride in one thing. No matter who wins, I don't feel as though the president will be worse than Trudeau.
  12. The Dark Mod's combat is actually highly similar to Mount and Blade. Try out mods for that if you enjoy Dark Mod's combat, and focus in on those that emphasize solo play.
  13. Is this downloadable in the missions list now or is this a manual implementation?
  14. I'm still just stunned by how contrarian the final point on the list is. I want it on record that I don't mind knockouts or the ability to kill enemies while still emphasizing ghost play, it very much is about contextualization and narrative reinforcement. That and shit like the corners, Alekhine's Gun was originally fully realistic so corner cover was essentially useless before a patch.
  15. I don't really like countdown videos, and this one is included, but frankly yeah, half the reason I do challenge runs of The Dark Mod is because it's actually fairly believable and, as a result, challenging. The fact is though this is because most stealth games want to cast as wide as possible of a net with their sells so they make things easy. One of the first things I tell people about the Dark Mod is that the AI doesn't just magically forget you, whereas in Assassin's Creed they practically had to yell out that they were finally doing that in Revelations that this had changed because they realized people were beginning to realize how underwhelming things were. This isn't an AI issue, we nailed this back in Chaos Theory. It is, rather, a demographics issue.
  16. A solid level to cover while I route bigger things.
  17. This is honestly why I think only visual novel style low-skill episodics work. You can't simply set aside something for another month and hope people come back and enjoy it. I'll personally be buying Hitman on sale as a game of the year package, once I'm assured of its quality. I can only hope it doesn't have difficulty curve issues or late-game quality drop.
  18. I don't have a specific mission in mind, but rather general observations. While there are many high quality missions, and there are none I would call bad, I can safely say that I've become far too accustomed to sudden supernatural twists in situations where they weren't foreseeable, to the point that I don't especially find them surprising or shocking anymore. I think many campaigns hit the perfect balance since they can afford to simply pick between missions, as one can see in Penny Dreadful and Thomas Porter, but singular missions tend to either have very basic crime elements involved or a sudden supernatural twist with very little go between. I cherish such beauty as Talbot missions, where a tone is decided on and I get a glimpse of a city's drama and get to actively play a role in it, with many notes and bits of information tripping over each other, a sense that I know what others are up to more than even they do. One can really see things like this shine in very isolated scenarios such as One Step Too Far and the like, when things are intentionally isolated, which brings me to my next suggestion. More focus on smaller, more isolated in the wilderness scenarios. I would personally love to see more mechanical, more wilderness, more pagan and more barbarian settings and stories, though I know I'm not entirely popular in this opinion.
  19. Honestly the PC/next gen version of Double Agent isn't great, it was mostly done by Ubisoft Shanghai, whereas the original Xbox version of it was done by the Chaos Theory team at Ubisoft Montreal, so it ends up recommended by many for being a much better follow up on Chaos Theory than the PC version of DA. Also, lots of silly stuff like moving at minimum speed while crouched someone somehow hears you. Only ever saw stuff like that in DLC for Splinter Cell 1 and a few moments in Pandora Tomorrow (also Shanghai).
  20. It says on the thief characters page in the wiki that this mission features Corbin but I'm not seeing any mention of him, so am I to assume you play as him? Lovely and tight mission, though I notice it's fairly easy to see out of bounds if you know where to climb.
  21. I agree, but they launched it in such a confusing manner and as we've seen from so many projects before this sort of format only really takes off in narrative, visual novel basis format more often than not.
  22. Between Denuvo, the constant updates that made me feel like comparing the thing to an MMO in terms of "look at this exciting event" status and the episodic nature I just decided to buy the game when it finished development. After Ground Zeroes sheer beauty leading into the disappointing unfinished of Phantom Pain, I'm not about to buy another part of a game only to buy the rest later.
  23. I already consider myself the closer to one who documents the missions you make more than anything else, as I see it this would merely be an extension of as much. That said I don't really have a clue where I would start were I to begin doing this. Entirely different wiki, separate website, what would the best protocol be here, I wonder?
  24. I ask because with Sotha and Melan visibly having wonderfully put together worlds, I'm curious if there's anywhere I can look at to find visible shared concepts, like the inventor's guild. This is ignoring how many shared name mentions I've seen, something I'm a huge fan of.
  25. I feel like there's no real reason to have Can safely say you were right; the map was quite a challenge if I aimed to avoid extinguishing lights and using the light switches as distractions, but a knockout-loaded playthrough would've been a slow, easy affair. If there was any aesthetic problems it would be that the whole level felt very similar, though this is inevitable in cases where the entire mission takes place in one building's interior. I also must add that your sense of As well, the characterizations of the librarian and context of your actions make this an especially nice contrast and a lovely grey next to your other missions. The balance was amazing, easily the strongest point; there's just enough loot that if I had left even the picks behind I would go just over the required limit. Your strength in making believable, balanced missions shows itself so I can safely say this is an amazing first mission for people. Lastly, there's a typo on the second experiment notes, "Decipts", and this seriously harms the deciption of this area. Also, if I missed any notes please inform me as much, I don't mind taking a screenshot and including it in the description. Love your work!
