  1. Any news on if and when Taffer meet will take place?
  2. No problem. I'm working on a readable for a whore house where a busty lass gets the plague and has her tits drop off.
  3. In response to Sotha in choosing to ignore the first part of the map because it wasn't part of the storyline. Dumping the player in the middle of the plague ward wouldn't make sense. wasn't there a rather large chunk of city section in TDP's mission "the lost city" at the beginning? Perhaps the city section in Dragons claw is unessarily too big but more AIs and more buildings to enter would change that. Hopefully that's to come in the updated version.
  4. OK maybe this just comes down to a matter of perspective. I actually think Sotha raised some very good points although they were delivered a bit too harsh. As for voting 2 for aesthetics, well your definitely wrong there Sotha. But they seem to be from the perspective that this mission had the luxery of time. I judge this on the small amount of time it was created in. Being a beta tester I'm probably more aware of the work Biker put in, in such a small time frame. I think it's a pity yet somewhat inevitable that a mission of this size was obviously going to lack in certain areas given the short amount of time to work in. Gameplay just happened to be that area. It is too easy. That a map of this size was completed in such a small amount of time (oh and not forgetting that at the start of this contest Biker was very kindly helping me finish my first FM) is quite a remarkble acievement. I get the feeling that Sotha is not judging this from a speedbuilding perspective and that Biker obviously is. Persoanlly I think aesthetics and story is spot on. I voted 5 for aesthetics and 4 for story. I'm very proud of my readables but I think there should have been a few more for a map of this size. 3 for game play. If ever there's a map that could really benefit from an updated version it's this one. More AI's and more buildings to enter. Especially in the starting area. This has potential to be fantastic imo.
  5. please PM me the English version pranQster. thanks!
  6. I'm in Cheam Village just outside London. King Henry VIII used to have a palace here. In keeping with the villages history there's lots of Tudor style buildings here. They come in very handy for Dark Mod inspiration
  7. I'd like to come along. I don't drive but I'm in London. It's easy to get to Hertfordshure by train.
  8. Would it be fair if I voted on this map? I did the readables so I I was responisble for a lot of the storyline.
  9. I loved the Fighting Fantasy books when I was a kid. Midnight Rogue was definately one of my favourites.
  10. Nice mission. Really enjoying it so far. I can't find the tailor / clothier pumpkin tho. Been searching for an hour. Where is it?
  11. Thanks! I must have been crouching and not known it. It was very easy to mount while standing. Great mission. The tombs looked really nice and were never repetative which is something I find hard to do when making tombs. Some very nice choices on ambiet sounds too. I'm very arachnaphobic so I found a tomb woith lots of spiders very creepy. Only negative point is that I found the ambinet world light too bright. I think if it was darker with more torches it would have added to the atmos. If it got too dark the lantern found at the start could have been used. I never had to use it once. Did I miss something but I have no idea why the people in the graveyard were wearing plague masks? I played this on the medium setting. I'll replay this on the hardest setting. I think I can get all the loot and complete it without having to kill anyone. Will be more of a challenge though. I had lots of fun playing this. Thanks for making this and well done on a fine FM!
  12. I'm off to a bad start. How do I get out of the spider caves? There seems to be two rocks in a corner I can climb on to but the ledge above is too high to reach.
  13. Congrats on the release Biker! I'll wait until I get back from my trip next week to play the halloween contests entries. Can't wait to see what the official version looks like.
  14. That's good to know. I'll come and ask for your services the next time i have an FM nearly ready.
  15. I miss the brown borders dividing up the sub forums. This great big block of grey looks ugly.

Back in the days it was actually dark-red. Let's call it evolution :-P

  16. Those look really nice GS. I've always found drawing the human body the hardist thing to draw. Would you ever be interested in making some pencil sketches of screen shots of a map? I'd really like to have an intro like the original thief games.
  17. Has anyone read The Lies of Locke Lamora? It's the first in the Gentleman Bastard series by Scott Lynch. It's about a gang of thieves and con artists in a fantasy setting. My friend recomended it to me on account of my love for the thief games. I'm finding it a very fun read so far.
  18. What better way to in to the Halloween spirit than a play through of Rose Cottage

  19. That's a shame but don't give up on the map. If you've started you might as well see it through
  20. When's the deadline for voting? I was hoping to wait until I'm on holiday in two weeks to start playing the contest entries.
  21. @ Nbohr - I would be more than happy for just a special mention in your halloween article. My map was 90% done when the Halloween contest started. @ Biker - If you would like me to beta test your map feel free to PM me when the time is ready.
  22. I'm glad you enjoyed the FM. The large scale of the buildings wasn't intentional. Once I realised I had got the scale wrong most of the map had already been built. Thanks to everyone who's played.
