Back in the day, when Thievery was at its highest play time, lot of people had a blast playing it. Watching video's, and actually playing are two different things. You can't fully understand what its like to hide in the shadows, and have a human know where those shadows are. There was plenty of areas to hide in, it was not just running around all the time, the fun for me was finding new spots to hide in. SOOO much fun. I played the hell out of it, can't tell you how many times after a good round, my hands would shake, and shake, my heart pounding. Nothing else like it. I was one of the few women that did play, and not to toot my own horn, I was pretty good, its a difficult game at times, very challenging, and if you do not have the patience to learn, its not for you. It does have a high learning curve, but, its worth it. If you just want to run and gun it, go play something else, like regular UT. This game was ahead of its time, and it still is. You get a bunch of good friends playing, get on Team Speak, let the fun begin. Chaotic at times, challenging, finding new spots to hide in, how the hell did he do that, rat mode with friends running around. Such an under rated game. [edit]

I played Thievery for years, not anymore, but we had loads of fun. Had a private server with Leatherman, you get a good group of people playing, nothing else like it. One of the few games when I was done, my hands would shake. Loved it. I was one of the few women that did play, Thieving was my favorite, though pummeling a thief to deaf is quite invigorating.

There has been some discussion about the Dark Mod Fidcal. But an on going thread, specifically for TDM would be welcome. There is a hard core group of guys over there that have played Thief, Thievery, and some new ones that would be interested. Any game is discussed. By all means, yes. Comm chat is for just about any discussion. Go for it. The forum is a bit quiet at times, but like I mentioned, there is a hard core group of Black Cat members, including myself, that have been around since 2003.

Since I've moved, I haven't checked the *awaiting moderation* peeps/spammers in about 5 days. Lack of internet, and busy. We only had 8 newbies waiting to get in. Its no big deal checking IP's really.

I have the privilege of managing the spammers on Black Cat. We've got a Q & A set-up, then they are put into *awaiting moderation*. I check EVERY IP, that comes in, yes every IP. Stop forum spam, and project honey pot are two that we use. If you google the IP anyway, it will show up either way. The beginning of the year we were inundated with spammers, mainly from the Russian Federation. Since the Q & A has been implemented, the number of spammers has dropped dramatically. China is still a problem, and you tend to notice certain IP ranges that come up. You do it long enough, you see a pattern as well. So much fun!!

Doesn't bother me what accents I hear anyway. We have such a mix these days, whatever the script calls for, people do it. Hahaha! Thats a great conversation, and a damn good job at Benny! I like it.

Glad you got it working! Its worth it, and you'll have many exciting and happy nights of playing. Don't feel embarrassed about being happy, and excited. A good game will do that sometimes. Stick around the forums, post more! Welcome.

It's worth its weight in gold. If you like zombies, the undead, more magic, this one is for you. Lot of people prefer Thief gold to T2, though T2 is great for FM's. There is a FM for Soulforge, *Soulforge revisited, * I just could not stomach the mission, the story was not bad, but having to revisit that mission again, I just couldn't do it. I hated Soulforge.

Holy crap you haven't played that mission, go play it, I beg of you, for the good of Rose Cottage, and for yourself, you owe it to yourself to play. The opening sequence will make you say, *Holy Shit*, well maybe not you, it did me. Its stunning, absofrigginlutely stunning. And the best opening AVI...ever......period. That was fun. Need to play it again, and ghost it. Hope my patience holds out. Glad people are enjoying the voice work. Its fun, and a pleasure to work with those guys. I love ocn's voice. I'm already thinking on how I can improve on the lady. I've got some idea's. Whats interesting, writing a line, and saying it are two different things. I added my own *twist* if you will, and it worked.

Unless I've missed it, and well whatever, following the Lady aka *Assassins* anyone? I still love doing that, having to follow someone. The tight areas with the AI made it interesting.

Opening screen looked fine on my end, you'll have fun with this one. Towards the end of it, there is a bit of surprise, which is always good. I just won't say.

Take it or leave it, TTLG is here to stay as well as TDM. It gets enough attention, it will rise upon its own when Thiaf 4 falls on its ass.

Ohhh you haven't ventured into Comm Chat have you? You want negativity sometimes, go in there.

There are a few over there, of course that like it, the response I will admit is low at times. But if we quit posting, that is almost like giving in. I'd still post, and still let the community know there are missions released when they come out. Personally, I'm burned out on Thief. The Black Frog testing will be it for me for awhile. DrK is who I will test for next, that could be awhile. TDM is what I prefer, and where I am now. To each his own. I still like Thief and always will, I guess we all need a break from time to time.
