We should probably try to schedule a chat sometime soon to get everyone on the same page. Canetoad has a chat page setup, and I also had one set up over on Southquarter. Doesn't matter to me which one we use. Here's a summary of everyone's time zones:

canetoad, GMT+10, Australia

fllood, GMT+2, Germany

Neb, GMT+1, UK

cussander, GMT+1, UK

ungoliant, GMT-5, USA

jaxa, GMT-5, USA

brethren, GMT-5, USA

Also, chat rooms:

Canetoad's: http://www.usefulspace.net/noobprojectchat.html

Brethren's: http://www.southquarter.com/chat

The only issue I see so far is Canetoad, who is (no offense to him) a whopping 15 hours difference from us USA folks (I suppose that's only 9 hours if you go the other way). We could do something like 6:00pm here, which would be like 12:00 midnight UK, and then 9:00am in Australia (did I do that right?).

I was thinking maybe this coming Saturday for the chat (Sunday for Canetoad).

Initial agenda - probably talk about the plot of the campaign, and discuss individual level ideas.

Other suggestions/ideas?

Can this forum do checkbox polls (multiple answers)? for things like finding available days and times for chats for example.

What you guys think about the idea about haveing everyone some free share-desktop software (like netmeeting just a better tool) if two or more people want to meet for some hand-on help or showing a technique?

I tried to upscale the TDM logo video. First try:

briefing_video.mp4 You can test it ingame by making a copy of the core tdm_gui.mtr and place it in your-tdm-root/materials/ , then edit line 249 of that file into the location where you placed the new briefing.mp4 file.
What I did was I extracted all the image files, then used Upscayl to upscale the images using General photo (Real-Esrgan) upscale setting and then turn it back into a video.
I might have to crop it a bit, the logo looks smaller on screen (or maybe it's actually better this way?). My video editor turned it into a 16:9 video, which I think overal looks better than 1:1 video of original.

Trying to be productive on my down-time before Capcom releases Akuma and my son is constantly on my PC playing Street Fighter...

Finally got round to publishing a tutorial on baking normal maps in Blender, since most of the ones we have are inaccessible or years out of date.

The FAQ wiki is almost a proper FAQ now. Probably need to spin-off a bunch of the "remedies" for playing older TDM versions into their own article.

Was checking out old translation packs and decided to fire up TDM 1.07. Rightful Property with sub-20 FPS areas yay! ( same areas run at 180FPS with cranked eye candy on 2.12 )
