Fingernail 59
I'm gonna say it; your work is nice, you're damn good. The question is, we already have a full concept art team, and wouldn't know what to do with another artist, and, not wanting your work to go to waste, the question is: CAN YOU DO TEXTURES???? Renzatic 12
Think of it like this, if you can draw a grungy wall or cool looking trim then you've got 3/4ths of what we need. The rest can come with practice. Your stuff looks good, I don't think you'd have much a problem making em once you get used to it.
doghell 0
yea, i dont think it'll be a problem at all. so tell me what kinda stuff you guys need. and ill get to work asap.
New Horizon 539
This website has a lot of hi-res photos to source textures from. Perhaps what we can do is get you to give this a try first. http://rubens.anu.edu.au Try to find a victorian looking window and door, then work some magic on them. Also see if there are any sources that could be made into tileable textures for walls/ ceilings/ streets...etc. If Renz has something else in mind he'll be sure to let you know. I"m just throwing this out off the top of my head.
sparhawk 17
I think you should set him a clearer task then "try to find ..." Quote Gerhard
doghell 0
thats fine. could you give me a sample texture which i can use for technical specificatins (size, type etc.)? windows are just a flat surface without any protruding polygons and stuff i guess? alrighty.ill keep you posted on my progress. New Horizon 539
I think you should set him a clearer task then "try to find ..." I'm not really sure what we need in that department...hence my vagueness. I didn't see Renz around, otherwise I could have gotten a clearer idea what we need right now. Fingernail 59
Yeah, try to make some obviously flat-ish walls with a normal and specular map as well as diffuse. 512x512 is standard texture size.
