Alerted AI forgets its path_waitfortrigger

I played around a bit with paths today as I was bored and got nothin' to do, so I noticed one thing:

If you have an AI that follows a path until a path_waitfortrigger comes and the AI is getting alerted when at the path_waitfortrigger it forgets about it and follows the next path after calming down the alert level though the trigger wasn't fired.

I looked in the path_entities and found only 'skip' which I set to '0' on the path_waitfortrigger, but it seems that this isn't the error in this case. The AI still forgets about waiting for the trigger to fire and heads to the next corner after calming down from the alert.

Is this meant to be and I'm missing a specific spawnarg to setup or is it a unknown bug?

path_corner --> path_waitfortrigger --> !Trigger fires! --> path_corner

path_corner --> path_waitfortrigger --> !AI alerted! --> path_corner

When coming down off an alert, an AI will proceed exactly as you indicate. The code assumes the current path_node is no longer valid (though it doesn't say why) and skips it, moving the AI to the next path_node.

It might be possible to make an exception for path_waitfortrigger. In the same way that a non-patrolling AI knows to go back to his start position when he comes off an alert, we should be able to send an AI back to where he was waiting for a trigger.

Please file a bugtracker issue.

And "skip" isn't implemented.

      I tried to upscale the TDM logo video. First try:

      briefing_video.mp4 You can test it ingame by making a copy of the core tdm_gui.mtr and place it in your-tdm-root/materials/ , then edit line 249 of that file into the location where you placed the new briefing.mp4 file.
      What I did was I extracted all the image files, then used Upscayl to upscale the images using General photo (Real-Esrgan) upscale setting and then turn it back into a video.
      I might have to crop it a bit, the logo looks smaller on screen (or maybe it's actually better this way?). My video editor turned it into a 16:9 video, which I think overal looks better than 1:1 video of original.

      Finally got round to publishing a tutorial on baking normal maps in Blender, since most of the ones we have are inaccessible or years out of date.

      The FAQ wiki is almost a proper FAQ now. Probably need to spin-off a bunch of the "remedies" for playing older TDM versions into their own article.

      Was checking out old translation packs and decided to fire up TDM 1.07. Rightful Property with sub-20 FPS areas yay! ( same areas run at 180FPS with cranked eye candy on 2.12 )
