[Problem Solved]

Hello people! :)

Im new here, I have been playing TDM since more of a year now, but a couple of month ago mi PC got destroyed by an electric storm, when the damaged parts were replaced I choosed Ubuntu 14.10 64 bits for OS, the problem i got now is that the tdm_update_linux is not working, using "chmod" (with the parameters), "./" and nothing happen, I cant remember the error menssages right now, created a folder in my home directory (named darkmod) and running the installer there not helping...

Sorry for the bad english :D

Edit: For some reason is working now (maybe some library recently installed?)

Like the Professor Henry Jones said once: The solution presents itself! XD

I believe what you are needing to type is as follows:

chmod +x tdm_update.linux

followed by:

./tdm_update.linux

The first command sets the update file as executable. The second basically does... "in this directory, run the following".

Alternately, in a file browser, you can open your tdm directory, right-click 'tdm_update.linux', choose properties and add a check to 'executable' in the permissions tab. I recommend the first method.

LOL, I hadn't read the end of your post. Anyway...

Was checking out old translation packs and decided to fire up TDM 1.07. Rightful Property with sub-20 FPS areas yay! ( same areas run at 180FPS with cranked eye candy on 2.12 )

i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!
