Video Recording The Dark Mod

So I'm running Linux Ubuntu and am trying to screencast The Dark Mod gameplay. Whenever I try to record, using RecordMyDesktop or SimpleScreenRecorder, the output looks like this:

I was just wondering if anyone has had this problem before.... It's sort of a pain.

 

And yes I am running it Full Screen

Oh and I forgot to say that Recording Minecraft full screen isn't a problem. So I don't think it's an Ubuntu problem.

Tried using OBS studio..?

As a work-around, try setting your desktop res to match that of the game. That works for me using Kazam on Ubuntu 14.04.

I've tried OBS but it has a bug that hasn't been fixed that I know of.

 

I'll try the resolution thing later today. I got a bunch of work to do

Changing the Resolution works perfectly.

Just slightly inconvenient, but it is what it is.
