I have created this software, in case you wanted to mention it in the website.

Before that making the game available in a Linux software center was a major pain. On Arch Linux for example the game was broken for years because nobody really knew how to fix its packaging.

But now this software builds in one clic the file system of the game, so a person only needs to provide that as it is inside a package for making the game available to any Linux operating system. Then one single installation serves all users in the system, and the game is updated using the software center itself.

This software will handle gracefully and automatically mostly any new release of the game. And it will even be resilient to transient internet disconnections, where by the way the current updater just hangs forever.

      I posted about it before, but I think the default tdm logo video looks outdated. For a (i.m.o.) better looking version, you can download the pk4 attached to this post and plonk it in your tdm root folder. Every mission that starts with the tdm logo then starts with the better looking one. Try for example mission COS1 Pearls and Swine.

      I finished DOOM - The Dark Ages the other day. It is a decent shooter, but not as great as its predecessors, especially because of the soundtrack.
