Running Windowed: Release Cursor?

If you're running TDM windowed, is there are button or button combination that will tell the game to give up control of the pointer temporarily?

Can you just alt-tab to a different window?

If you bring down the console with Ctrl + Alt + <key above TAB> the game will release the pointer, although this does also mean that the console will now be obscuring half of the window.
