DarkRadiant Support for Quake4?

Have the DarkRadiant support for Quake 4?

Because its better then GTKRadaint 1.5 and ZeroRadiant don't have support for Quake 4 :(

Quake 4 shouldn't be too different from Doom 3, so you should be able to build maps for Q4. I've never tested it (don't have Quake 4), so can somebody else confirm this?

Whenn not can you please make support for Quake 4 when you have time?

Sure, I already wondered what I should do with my freetime.

Seriously, as The Dark Mod is a game built on the Doom 3 engine, and DarkRadiant is it's customised editor, it's not likely that somebody of the team is going to implement Quake4 support. It's out of our scope.

This doesn't mean that somebody else couldn't take DarkRadiant and code it in.

Hi there

Your editor look so great

1 year after i ask the same question: is dark radiant can support quake 4 mapping?

Cause i want it so bad... I tried to copy the quake4.game from the gtkradiant and paste it beside of your doom3.game. After that, i tried to fit the quake4.game file to look like your doom3.game, but without success. Darkradiant give me the "quake 4" choice in preference, but always crash after this point.

Is someone has any idea?

Thank you

Still the same answer: first, this is not the scope of DarkRadiant, and second we still don't have any additional freetime to invest in such an endeavour.

On top of that, I don't have Quake 4 myself, so I don't even know how similar or how different Quake 4 mapping is in comparison with D3 editing.

Sorry, can't help you there, I'm afraid, but maybe you find some people who are knowledgeable of the Quake 4 engine and are willing to invest coding time into a DarkRadiant fork.

Finally got round to publishing a tutorial on baking normal maps in Blender, since most of the ones we have are inaccessible or years out of date.

The FAQ wiki is almost a proper FAQ now. Probably need to spin-off a bunch of the "remedies" for playing older TDM versions into their own article.

Was checking out old translation packs and decided to fire up TDM 1.07. Rightful Property with sub-20 FPS areas yay! ( same areas run at 180FPS with cranked eye candy on 2.12 )

i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.
