Guest Scoobs
hi , I like the sound of this mod your working on and am very interested in offering my services as a animator. I have a website you can take a look at and a showreel available. Although the work on my site looks very cartoony I am looking to expand my portfolio with more realistic sort of work. Hope to hear from you soon. Pete
New Horizon 539
Hi, nice to hear from you. What is your websites address? We would like to see your work.
sparhawk 17
I like the sound of this mod your working on and am very interested in offering my services as a animator. Well. Showing the URL for your site would help a lot. Why are you interested in this particular mod? Do you have any experience with Thief? Just being curious. Guest Website Adress
Ooops , website: http://www.peterwoods.5gigs.com I'm interested in working on your Mod as I want to expand my showreel with more realistic animations instead of stylised cartoony stuff whihc is what I have previousley worked on. Also as a recent graduate looking for a job in games I feel it would be a spot on wicked bit of experience. Cheers Pete:)

Guest Scoobs
Yeah, At degree level specialising in Cg Animation, but it covered all aspects of the animation process from character development, storyboards, character riging, modelling and texturing. Sorry about the delay in uploading my showreel but my computer is currently throwing a wobbly on me. Pete
sparhawk 17
Your site shows only cartoon style. Can you also do realistic animations? Because for our mod we would need that. Quote Gerhard
Guest Scoobs
I can do realistic animations, But havent done any for my website and they are very limited on my showreel which is why im interested in working on the mod. Pete
oDDity 3
Which software do you use. I'm using Maya and Motionbuilder, which as you'll probably know requires a specilized rig for best effect. It would be best if we all used the same rig and fbx format for our humanoid characters. If you have a degree in CG, I'm sure you must be good enough at animation, I think we could make you a contributor, and I'll give you a character and some animations to do, and we'll see if you're good enough for full membership. I'm not much of an animator, but I'm competent enough at tweaking bvh files. We need someone who can do animations from scratch. sparhawk 17
I can do realistic animations,I agree with Oddity, that we can need an animator who can do animations frmo scratch. So I suggest you register on the board, so that we can make you a contributor. The procedure is this: We make you a contributor, so we can judge wether you meet our requirements. If we are satisfied you will become a full member. If you submit any files they are ours to use. We can use them for the mod in any way we see fit. This is the stanadard procedure, because obviously we want to avoid that we recruit new members and then they are doing nothing, which happened in the past. If you agree then just register and we will gladly wecome you. Quote Gerhard
Guest Guest_Scoobs
hi, i've just refistered i have a great deal of knowledge of animation in 3ds max, however i'm more than willing to learn maya as i have the PLE version of Maya. Which hopefully you can still use the FBX export on. Anyway like i said i'm quite happy to give maya a crack if i have a pre rigged character to work with. Once again thanks for the invite. sparhawk 17
i've just refistered i have a great deal of knowledge of animation in You are still listed as unregistered? Did you register under this name? Quote Gerhard
scoobs 0
yeah, but i wrote the reply before confirming registration so this should work now.
oDDity 3
YOu can use the rig in Max, sure, but not charcater studio, You'll have to animate it the old fashioned way. It isn't set up with any IK or constraints, that all happens in Motionbuilder. I suppose I can just send you you model and you can rig it yourself in charcater studio. it woulnd't be fair otherwise, if that's what you're used to. scoobs 0
Yeah that'd be great As long as it would be an ok format for the mod needs. Using Character Studio i mean. Looking forward to working with ya:) Edited January 5, 2005 by scoobs
