Latest SVN build crashes on startup

Recommended Posts

I don't know why I have all these problems, usually it's just been me being stupid, but I can't figure this one out. The debugger shows this:

17445618.th.png

This probably doesn't help you guys at all, but it's all I got. I removed the user data out of the Application Data/Darkradiant but that didn't help.

I've cleaned the solution in VS2008 then rebuilt it from scratch and it completed without errors.

I always assumed I'd taste like boot leather.

Can you try to remove all DLL files from the modules/ and plugins/ folder and recompile them? Maybe there is some old DLL leftover in there?

I will

EDIT: Okay I just deleted all files and folders under c:/Darkradiant and doing a brand new checkout, also running a new checkout of /Darkradiant/w32deps

EDIT 2: Oh I just realized that I don't need to create the w32deps folder manually anymore it is under the darkradiant source control now, when was that done? Must have been a while ago though. Oh well, less work for me :)

Sorry man, I got burned out on mapping and editing about 2 months ago, but I recently got the bug to start up again something fierce and just want to get this going :) I can't wait to try out the new features, I was just going through the changelog of the last several revisions, man you are working like a fiend on this <3<3<3

I always assumed I'd taste like boot leather.

Okay I found out what the issue was, I had removed the entire directory, but for some reason checked out the entire trunk onto my computer, which gave me c:\Darkradiant\darkradiant\.. which was causing all sorts of errors on startup, so I removed it again, and got the right stuff and it's working great now.

I always assumed I'd taste like boot leather.

I tried to upscale the TDM logo video. First try:

briefing_video.mp4 You can test it ingame by making a copy of the core tdm_gui.mtr and place it in your-tdm-root/materials/ , then edit line 249 of that file into the location where you placed the new briefing.mp4 file.
What I did was I extracted all the image files, then used Upscayl to upscale the images using General photo (Real-Esrgan) upscale setting and then turn it back into a video.
I might have to crop it a bit, the logo looks smaller on screen (or maybe it's actually better this way?). My video editor turned it into a 16:9 video, which I think overal looks better than 1:1 video of original.

Trying to be productive on my down-time before Capcom releases Akuma and my son is constantly on my PC playing Street Fighter...

Finally got round to publishing a tutorial on baking normal maps in Blender, since most of the ones we have are inaccessible or years out of date.

The FAQ wiki is almost a proper FAQ now. Probably need to spin-off a bunch of the "remedies" for playing older TDM versions into their own article.

Was checking out old translation packs and decided to fire up TDM 1.07. Rightful Property with sub-20 FPS areas yay! ( same areas run at 180FPS with cranked eye candy on 2.12 )
