Objectives editor won't edit atdm:target_addobjectives

Recommended Posts

target_tdm_addobjectives is now atdm:target_addobjectives and target_tdm_addobjectives is in deprecated. The objectives editor does not yet recognize atdm:target_addobjectives but creates target_tdm_addobjectives (at least in my version.) So this wants to go on tracker unless it's already done in a future version of DR.

Meanwhile, presumably both work in existing maps but mappers cannot edit their objectives if the map has been adjusted presumably with fixup. (I see no objectives in Chalice for instance in the editor but presumably they still work.)

But if they haven't used fixup then they probably can still see the objectives in the editor but should eventually use fixup.

OK, for now I'll rename the one I'm working on so I can edit it then rename it back. Mappers please note.

Initially the plan was to release a DarkRadiant 1.0 along with TDM 1.0, but in the end it's not set in stone, it's just nice to have them released unisono.

I guess we can switch to DR 1.0 once TDM 1.0 Beta is ending and we fought the first wave of TDM release bugs.

Has anyone had any luck with textures from Polyhaven? Their OpenEXR normal maps seem too washed out and give incorrect shading in the engine.

I tried to upscale the TDM logo video. First try:

briefing_video.mp4 You can test it ingame by making a copy of the core tdm_gui.mtr and place it in your-tdm-root/materials/ , then edit line 249 of that file into the location where you placed the new briefing.mp4 file.
What I did was I extracted all the image files, then used Upscayl to upscale the images using General photo (Real-Esrgan) upscale setting and then turn it back into a video.
I might have to crop it a bit, the logo looks smaller on screen (or maybe it's actually better this way?). My video editor turned it into a 16:9 video, which I think overal looks better than 1:1 video of original.

Finally got round to publishing a tutorial on baking normal maps in Blender, since most of the ones we have are inaccessible or years out of date.
