question about 'savegames' folder with Samhain FM

I was playing the fm Samhain on 2 different computers so I tried to transfer the 'savegames' to the laptop to take with me since I progressed a lot on the desktop.

I've done this several times with T2, but I believe I'm missing a file since when I load the saved file into the game another mission takes it's place.

Which file did I miss to transfer?

Anyone have that missing file saved? Where I'm in the cavern with the spiders after swimming down and under a tunnel. I got to the crypt, but how do I get out of there? I can't go back after falling down the tunnel/sewer.

(Not on my machine, In Europé, but it works excellent )

My hobby built desktop is: XFX Play Hard-nVidia nForce 790i Ultra SLI

Onboard is:

CPU: Intel Socket 775

VGA: nVidia GeForce EVGA GTX-260

RAM: DDRIII 16Gb

HDD: 2 Tb

OS: 64bit Win 8.1

All service packs and latest drivers installed.

Try this:

Make sure the TDM versions on your desktop and laptop are the same.

On your laptop, download Samhain from w/in TDM, install it, and start it from the beginning. If you already have it installed, select it as the mission you want to play, and TDM will restart with Samhain as your game.

Once you're into the mission, save a game with some name other than the one you used on the desktop.

Quit the mission and TDM.

Find the 'Doom 3/samhain/savegames/' folder. You should see the game you just saved.

Put the three files from your desktop saved game into the 'savegames' folder.

Start TDM.

From the main menu, click on 'Load/Save Game' and you should see your saved game. Load it and all should be well.

Hopefully that's all you need to do.

Your laptop was starting up the most recent mission you played on it. You can find the name of the most recent mission (or 'current' mission) in the text file 'Doom 3/darkmod/currentfm.txt'.

Was checking out old translation packs and decided to fire up TDM 1.07. Rightful Property with sub-20 FPS areas yay! ( same areas run at 180FPS with cranked eye candy on 2.12 )

i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!
