  9. I agree with Tels. The consistency is good, and the non-extinguishable will make it harder. And you say thats just a starting, first attempt? Very nice
  10. Does caulk count as worldspawn? Prehaps you could make a caulk frame within it, for visportaling?
  11. Something to remember in the future, when you post screenshots, try to adjust the brightness. Use the dodge tool in photoshop or the gimp. I think someone said that doom 3 doesn't quite get the gamma right when taking screensies.
  12. A few things to note: Pics 4,8 & 9, that torch if you go to entity editor ("N") and put on noshadows 1, that will get rid of that shadow ring. It doesn't look that realistic, and is kind of distracting. It looks like you have no ambient_world light. Read this article on virtual darkness. Once you get a feel for ambient lighting, it will REALLY make a difference. Its best to try and avoid areas of the map that are pitch black, for both playability and visual effect. Now for what I liked :-D Nice detail work, the object placement, the missing boards, that busted door. I like the crumbly and missing bricks look. And the first pic, the rocky ceiling with the ivy. Thats some pretty good patch work with the dirt floor rock. A very good start sir

  14. I think of it this way. If one crate is frobbable, its quite light. It it isn't, than its full of heavy stuff, thus making it unfrobbable.
  15. @Coders, the record command is disabled in TDM. I was wondering if its possible to be reenabled to showcase maps or give walkthroughs (eg. get all the loot, find that hidden key etc.)

  19. How about on expert mode, the thief isn't as good with his nighttime reading abilities jk , you know how many people would complain about being able to read in the dark and than started a new game, and can't?
  20. It seems that when you select a face and go to brush>create decal patches, it creates a copy of that face as a patch. Put any decal texture on it, lets say ivy vines, and now your wall will be covered with ivy vines. If that makes sense. And feel free to correct me if you know about decals.
