      It looks like someone tried to make it "easier" by having all the commands listed sorted by spawn class. If that is needed, it should probably be on it's own wiki page. Do you have wiki editing rights?

      I don't but then again that double listing has been around forever iirc (subsection 1.1 v 1.2). There was a whole section 2 that was basically a repeat of 1. It's good that stgatilov regenerated it though, not only did it make that go away but the last update was from Dec. 2021.

  2. After 4+ hours I finally managed to automate a cubemap to irradiance map workflow. The results are satisfactory! Good to know ambient cubelights look good w/o makeIrradiance and with a proper IR map. May post a tut later.

      IMO Irradiance maps is pretty confusing term, as it hasn't been used much in games for a long time now, but this is a closest thing to explanation: https://learnopengl.com/PBR/IBL/Diffuse-irradiance

      Writing up a tutorial now. :) Took me a long time to research some open-source alternatives to apps and troubleshoot all the problems you can run into, but now that I've probed all options I think I have it figured out.

      Nice tutorial so far! It's great to see this works so well without needing to bake a lightmap as the input lighting.

  3. Feels like a month since I've touched DR, real life is so busy... If you're waiting on my next FM, I feel you, sometimes it feels I'm waiting on myself too...

      Well, only fan mission that I'm waiting is yours. It's a bit sad to hear you haven't touch DR for months, but real life is the top priority always. I can wait for next summer to see how you managed that stunning environment lighting.

      I feel the same way sometimes! Sometimes I hit a snag, and it can stops my will to map for weeks.

      Yes, unfortunately TDM mapping isn't really something you can do continuously. But once you do get back again it'll be with fresh vigour and creativity.

  4. I found out .darkradiant files hold Layer information when I deleted mine and found out I had no layers. Backups to the rescue! Phew, gave me a scare.

  6. Changing skyboxes crashes map, gettin' paranoid 'bout map corruptions. Map needs moar visportals.
