  1. Just updated to DM 2.09. Thanks again for the help!
  2. I wondered if that was the problem. I'm running DM 2.08 How do I update the version? I'll look for it. Thank you!
  3. Looks and sounds like a great mission, but unfortunately it won't load for me. I get the following error... IDANIMATED 'FIREFLY_STATIONARY_ANIM_16' AT (2878 1666 - 1937): CANNOT FIND ANIM 'IDLE_04' Could someone please help me to resolve what I'm missing? Thank you!
  4. Thank you nbohr1more, the x64 exe worked. I’m now exploring this amazing fm. Thanks again for the quick help.
  5. I can’t open the cfg file to post it. My Alienware computer is 64 bit. The dark mod screen reads version TDM 2.08/32
  6. Help needed, please! Whenever I try to load the mission, it crashes to desktop. Dark mod is 2.08, and the intro plays perfectly, but when I click ‘start’ the ‘creating the world’ bar only progresses about a quarter of the way, then crashes to desktop. I tried playing other fms and they still work okay. Any suggestions? Thank you!
  7. “C:\Program Files (x86)\DarkMod\TheDarkMod.exe” is the path for the Dark Mod. I updated to full control as you instructed above. Thank you for your help and explanation
  8. Freyk, the updater is in the Dark Mod folder. I just needed to right-click the updater and select ‘run as administrator’, and it worked. I hadn’t thought to do it that way until Atomica mentioned it.
  9. That’s true Atomica, but I’ve been running the game okay as administrator all along easily enough. I just didn’t see the option to run the updater that way as well until now. All in all, I’m happy to be playing version 2.06. So now I’m playing Braeden Church.
  10. Thank you Atomica and stumpy... I believe both suggestions will work, but I’m running the update as administrator which works. I don’t know how I missed that option by right-clicking on the tdm_update app. Thanks again everyone!
  11. Thanks chakkman, but when I go there my user account is the only account and it is the administrator. There must be some other way to get past this read only problem.
  12. When I run the updater it goes to an error telling me to check if the file is set to read only. Can someone step me through how to change it from read only? Or is there another way? Whenever I uncheck the read only box it just goes back to read only. I never had a problem updating before on my previous computer, but I now have a new computer where I have to run TDM and other applications as the administrator. (Dell Alienware running Windows 10) Thanks!
