  1. Does anyone ever actually read these status updates? 🤔

  2. Hey @greebo

Curently in the wiki, the image viewing is suboptimal. Mediawiki has a feature, which is included in Mediawiki (1.31), for better image viewing. It just has to be enabled it seems:

    https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:MultimediaViewer

I thought it would be a good idea to enable it on our wiki.

Sorry, but I don't believe I have the permissions to enable anything on the wiki

  3. Update:
It turns out that the bug wasn't as bad as I thought. It's just a rounding error.

Back up your maps before you start editing them in 3.0.0!

I don't like the looks of this bug.

I'd strongly prefer if you didn't shout around alarms until you are sure there is really something bad happening. While keeping backups is always advisable for a multitude of reasons, you make it sound like there is some sort of map corruption going on specifically in 3.0.0, which is a very serious claim.

  4. Hey greebo, I was wondering what the newest DM version is and my question is does it contain all of the previous fixes from all other updates? ... I am using version 2.14.0_revea114 with the widget 3.1.3 and the build date is Nov 3 2021. I like this version because zoom on cursor, and the hor/virt scale was fixed on small faces ( wouldn't go lower than 1) So, does the newest version contain all of this and more? can't find this info. - THANK YOU! must say, this editor is fantastic btw! - DeeP

DarkRadiant development is pretty linear, one release builds on top of the previous. I'm usually not removing any features from DarkRadiant, only improving and expanding things. It'd be foolish for me to purposefully remove any fixes that have been present in previous versions.

And the latest official release is 2.14, as listed on the website https://www.darkradiant.net

  5. Say, I know it's been a while since the site got overhauled from the crash. But did we ever figure out if/how to get the recent topics & replies list back? It's not a total deal breaker but it was nice for becoming a thread creeper again...

Oh, I wasn't aware that every member can see that forum. It used to be per invitation only in the past, I obviously missed that this has changed.

I didn't expect this to be possible, but there's in fact an option to select the forums that should show up in that block. I adjusted this to not show the Beta Testing forum now.

In case you're concerned about upcoming mission titles being spoilered: the topic list on the right is permission-trimmed, it's only showing what you're allowed to see. At least it was like this the last time I checked.

I've added a post feed to the right panel, showing a few topics by start date.

  8. I wonder what happend to the linux development fork of DarkRadiant. Is it dead? Orbweaver's PPA hasn't been updated the whole past year.I'd love to start mapping but atm there's no version that could run on Ubuntu 16.04.

There's a "darkradiant" package for Debian, which I'm told is usually making its way to the Ubuntu Software Center. Not sure about 16.04 though. Linky: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/darkradiant
