Door (old_Door) will not open

Hello @ll

 

I'm trying for a short time while in the DR to around a bit.

Now I've created a door (old_door), as in A - Z Beginner TuT

described.

 

2 rooms have been created and a passage from room 1 to room 2

My door can not open the game but lost croak.

 

Have changed during className atdm: mover_door and rotate

with 0 added 150 0th The door is not closed so

or otherwise. But it does not work, can not be opened.

 

I probably forgot about what to see, read on ...

I find out but not what I'm doing wrong.

 

Can you give me some advice / tip? Thank you very much.

If you are using a door model just use a door from the entity list instead. They've got all the required props.

 

Choose a skin after you create it by typing skin 1 (1 as value), then the list will have skin, click that and you get a 'choose skin button'

 

I created a jewelry box lid the other day and it wouldn't openm, though it was unlocking and making noise. I deleted it, made another and it worked fine.

I've already seen the Thiefs Den in the DR, because once a Old_Door

is present.

 

Will your suggestion a try.edit:Oh man, what a little thing with such great effect. I do not know how it came about ...It seemed to me very strange that none of the doors openwanted to leave. So I looked in the DM preferences. It was for theno key assigned (default is right mouse button).Now, of course, is the Old_Door. :D Man, man, man. For days I try and think about back and forthand now this. : DSince I now had to laugh at myself. How long does it sometimescan last until you climb behind the times and settings in the DM to check. : D

DR is a bit confusing in that one regard.

 

You have the models list. And the entities list.

 

You can use models for anything basic/static. Fences, trees, tables.

 

You use entities for anything that reacts. Moving items like crates, doors. Lights are all entities, they are a model with attached lights so they are ready to go in one shot.

For doors also create a handle entity, align it, then add the bind property to it with the name of the door. And they will work together.

 

You can also unzip the prefab.pk4 and there are 'models' in there that are set up and ready to go. Anything from building parts that people made in DR to fully working treasure chests with a key next to them that works on that chest.

I wanted to point out that the settings in the Dark Mod were next.

I can remember that I finally made time around in the settings

have, it must be well happen that the right mouse button

Doors do not open more so was assigned.

 

Once I have changed again, now everything, including my first door

works beautifully.

      Was checking out old translation packs and decided to fire up TDM 1.07. Rightful Property with sub-20 FPS areas yay! ( same areas run at 180FPS with cranked eye candy on 2.12 )

      i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
      tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

      Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!
