Hey Guys, Me again ! Trying to get DR to see my texture.pk archives but it dosent seem to want to remember the game path in preferences. After selecting My Games folder or the My Games\darkmod folder i OK the window and restart DR for the changes to take effect ! When i reload DR i still cant select textures and when i check game prefs the game path is empty again :/ Any ideas ?

Just as a friendly suggestion try posting into the newbie thread. Usually if I get stuck I search through that first and then if I still can't find a solution I post in that thread and it's always the fastest way to get a response because people receive notifications when posts go there. Plus it helps to reduce forum clutter. :)

As for a response to your question I have the following settings and layout

my game is in "c:\games\darkmod\"

In DR I have engine path set to "C:/Games/" and mod (fs_game) set to "darkmod"

Goldwell, Thanks for both your suggestions and your advice. The advice solved the issue for me. For the time being i will stick to the newbie thread. I can only assume it was the fact i had nothing entered in the fs_game field. Ive restarted DR and i can still access the textures etc but strangely the game path is one again empty :/ Although the fs_game field has retained darkmod.Well its progeress :D

It retains the path despite not showing it unless you go into preferences and ok them with the path blank. But since you never really need to go into preferences once set up...

Finally got round to publishing a tutorial on baking normal maps in Blender, since most of the ones we have are inaccessible or years out of date.

The FAQ wiki is almost a proper FAQ now. Probably need to spin-off a bunch of the "remedies" for playing older TDM versions into their own article.

Was checking out old translation packs and decided to fire up TDM 1.07. Rightful Property with sub-20 FPS areas yay! ( same areas run at 180FPS with cranked eye candy on 2.12 )

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.
