Disabling the Darkmod video after mission select

Recommended Posts

I have a custom audio track playing from the main menu and when the player selects a new mission it stops playing said musicand plays the darkmod_brifing.foq file.

Is there anyway to stop this playing ir if not, override the sound the accompanies it..? so I get a seemless playback of the above track.

Also while i think about it I would like the above track to keep playing while the mission loads...

There is a gui variable called gui::targetmusic that appears throughout the different menu guis.

It controls which music selection should play for a particular gui, or whether no music should play.

I imagine that you could make local copies of the relevant gui files for your mission, and comment out all statements that use this variable.

It's used in these gui files:

mainmenu_briefing

mainmenu_briefing_video

mainmenu_credits

mainmenu_debriefing_video

mainmenu_main

mainmenu_main_ingame

mainmenu_music

mainmenu_success

Well i was able to disable the video all together via this line

#define ENABLE_MAINMENU_BRIEFING_VIDEO 0 (changed the 1 to 0 etc)

the only 2 remaining issues are

1. when I click new mission the music restarts, it would nice if it didnt.

2. would still like the music to player while the mission is loading.

Finally got round to publishing a tutorial on baking normal maps in Blender, since most of the ones we have are inaccessible or years out of date.

The FAQ wiki is almost a proper FAQ now. Probably need to spin-off a bunch of the "remedies" for playing older TDM versions into their own article.

Was checking out old translation packs and decided to fire up TDM 1.07. Rightful Property with sub-20 FPS areas yay! ( same areas run at 180FPS with cranked eye candy on 2.12 )

i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.
