Is there a console command to finish the current level?

The reason being that because of my low end laptop, some missions have unplayable framerate. I'd like them to be marked as 'done' in the menu so I dont end up replaying them by mistake.

Also, is menu saving more reliable (ie less corrupted saves) than quicksaving?

Thanks.

Marking missions done: I don;t think there's a console command but you could edit the file that keeps track. It's in your darkmod folder: fms/mission.tdminfo

You'll see that missions you've completed have a "mission_completed_1" "1" line, which I guess you could add manually. Example:

tdm_missioninfo quinn
{
    "last_play_date"    "2015-02-22"
    "mission_completed_1"    "1"
    "mission_loot_collected_1"    "29843"
}

Menu saving and quicksave use the same savegame method, and personally I've never had a corrupt save so they are fine -- except apparently when the computer is struggling, given that you are having a problem with it. In that case, saving from the menu might help because most of the game activity is suspended so whatever's causing you a problem will probably be on hold.

Have you posted in the tech support forum? I don't know the details but I believe there are things you can do to improve the experience on low spec machines, for example by forcibly reducing texture quality.

      Apologies for the unplanned downtime. A routine upgrade did not go to plan, and the rollback had its own issues

      Taking a break to alleviate burnout. In retrospect, I probably shouldn't have jumped into a map-making contest so quickly after just finishing another project and especially with my busy schedule, but I do believe I have something that the community will enjoy. No clue if I'll be able to finish it on time for the competition if I factor in a break, but I'd rather take my time and deliver something of quality rather than engage in development crunch or lose part of the map's soul to burnout.
