The image file of the door at the start of BCD?

I want to add the graffiti.

Is it in the TDM folder? Where do I find it so I can edit it?

It's a plain, wooden door.

Thanks!

The _ed files are just small editor images. You must look in the /dds folder for the originals. If you can't read DDS files, install some appropriate plugin for the image manipulation programme you are using. Check out the wiki's pages on texture standards.

Is easier to make decal to put on door or make 1024x512 door with decal embedded into door?

I'm learning all this as I go.

I have a viewing program for DDS, but I cannot edit. I'm using freeware called DDS Viewer

How can I get the 1024x512 image into the program I do use to edit?

Or, if someone can supply me with hi-quality door : boards_2diamonds_worn_ed

I can add the graffiti. I'm sorry for newbie questions, just trying to do what I can and keep doing. My time to invest in learning how to edit

Same dimensions as the door.

(1024x512)

In GIMP go to layers and create a transparency layer.

Then use the Dockable Windows button and choose layers then hide the white layer.

You can then paint your graffiti onto the transparent layer then delete the white layer.

Finally use the export interface to export as tga.

I'd recommend GIMP. It can do a lot of useful things, for free.

Okay, I will download GIMP and report back.

Biker seems hesitant on agreeing the door having the decal on it.

I'll make it, but if it doesn't get included in the mission, it's not gonna break my heart.

The FAQ wiki is almost a proper FAQ now. Probably need to spin-off a bunch of the "remedies" for playing older TDM versions into their own article.

Was checking out old translation packs and decided to fire up TDM 1.07. Rightful Property with sub-20 FPS areas yay! ( same areas run at 180FPS with cranked eye candy on 2.12 )

i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!
