Sword Problem?

I didn't actually notice this at the time, but the screenshot caught the sword being quite a distance from the guard's hand.

Hmm, I was having that problem earlier when I first put in the draw animation, thought it was fixed but maybe not. It has to do with the fact that the sword is part of the "legs" anim channel and the rest is "torso." Thought it was fixed, not sure how to fix it if it's still happening sometimes. I assume your /scripts/darkmod_ai_base script is up to date right?

I just updated this afternoon, so I assume so. I'm not sure how often or for how long that happened...it might have been only for a second. Like I said, I would have missed it if not for the screenshot. I'll keep my eyes open.

Yeah, it's not a problem with the animations or the model, but a problem with how the animation channels are assigned and how they get played in the script. I thought I fixed it but apparently not for all cases. If Oddity knows a way to make the sword part of the torso anim channel, that would help a lot. As is it's below the waist so it's part of the legs, it seems.

      Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

      I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
      Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.
