New Model Additions To Cvs

We're switching over to a different internal website for models. It will make it easier to update. It's still a little rough, but you can see it here: http://www.tjoff.com/jens/darkmod/gallery/

 

To help out modelers that don't check there regularly, I'll post when I add new models to CVS, starting with some of Oddity's props. If you want to see what they look like, check out the webpage.

Currently with individual textures but I'll create skins so all the 3 crates can use any crate texture.

No. You can see the screenshots on the model webpage listed in the first post (though I haven't uploaded the crate images yet). This is just a list to keep people informed about what is being added.

Lol! I put it in kitchen because it can also be used as a generic pot, but it does look bad. ;)

From Oddity's pack i uploaded 3 props on CVS:

 

in mechanical you can find a machine (i see there is animation file for this one but i dont know how to use it)

in tools you can find a spade

and in misc you can find a wheelbarrow (i didnt find the material city/wall/concrete or anything like that so i replaced it with the gravel(city/floor)..)

great models and textures Odd..

      I tried to upscale the TDM logo video. First try:

      briefing_video.mp4 You can test it ingame by making a copy of the core tdm_gui.mtr and place it in your-tdm-root/materials/ , then edit line 249 of that file into the location where you placed the new briefing.mp4 file.
      What I did was I extracted all the image files, then used Upscayl to upscale the images using General photo (Real-Esrgan) upscale setting and then turn it back into a video.
      I might have to crop it a bit, the logo looks smaller on screen (or maybe it's actually better this way?). My video editor turned it into a 16:9 video, which I think overal looks better than 1:1 video of original.

      Finally got round to publishing a tutorial on baking normal maps in Blender, since most of the ones we have are inaccessible or years out of date.

      The FAQ wiki is almost a proper FAQ now. Probably need to spin-off a bunch of the "remedies" for playing older TDM versions into their own article.

      Was checking out old translation packs and decided to fire up TDM 1.07. Rightful Property with sub-20 FPS areas yay! ( same areas run at 180FPS with cranked eye candy on 2.12 )
