No, it was originally a tech demo, now it is a real game.

 

Ironically though, the demo for the "real" game is much much shorter and features less content than the original tech demo. Guess they're gambling on people getting sucked in by 15 minutes of game demo to buy the game.

Hmm... When I looked on their site, I only found mention of it being a tech demo, so I was a bit confused.

You might want to download the tech demo version of the demo if you haven't played it. It's an earlier version, but there's a lot more gameplay to be had, and the differences in the new version that I could tell are mostly cosmetic. (Well, there are melee weapons in the new demo, but you never get to use them on enemies because it's too short )
