New Horizon 539
I started another texture, this time a stone wall with big uneven granit blocks and some dark moss. Screenshot I have updated your membership to "contributor" status. Welcome aboard. After a period of time has passed we will have a review of your status. At that time, you may very well be promoted to full member. Great work Norsu. I can't wait to see what you bring to the mod.
Norsu 0
Thanks NH, much appreciated . I updated granitsand1 normal map, you can download the updated pack here. Also, does anyone know how to "reset" DOOM3ED windows (surface inspector etc.)? I used to have two monitors last time I tried the editor but now I can't view some of the tool windows anymore with my current single monitor. It seems they are still in that second monitor . Same thing happened in Valve's Hammer editor .
Gildoran 0
I don't know if this will work, but maybe try deleting editor.cfg? (it'll be in the mod's directory) Anyway, welcome aboard! One thing I should mention is that all image-sizes need to be exponents of 2 (eg 512x512, 1024x1024, 256x2048 etc) such that their filesize when compressed as DDS files isn't more than about 1.5 megabytes. This means that 1024x1024 is always fine. (in fact 1024x1024 is our recommended resolution for the source images) I'll go add your granite sand texture to CVS.
Norsu 0
I don't know if this will work, but maybe try deleting editor.cfg? No help unfortunately . Anyway I can easily test my textures in Hell level as it has plenty of different surfaces and light effects. Here's another screenshot showing the next texture. Notice how it needs more curved surface to bring out the detail compared to flat surface seen on the right. I'm leaving to Lahti now so expect another update on Monday .
