Model issues

Main PC has an Nvidia 7600GS card. The laptop has intel and renders crap, so can't even look at most stuff. The other nvidia card I tried in a different machine had decent rendering.

Things where I noticed it most:

* the pipes in SL sewers, I think this is caused by excessive triangulation due to the patch bars intersecting the patch out part (so it is probably not a model issue )

* the chairs in my old mill map around the table - they have a few gaps I think

* the priests shadow in the candle map has a gap between the hand and the lower arm

Unfortunately, I cannot work on either ASE or LWO.

You can post either in the forum or the bugtracker; I can fix any .lwo issues. A screenshot would help.

Which ones?

Yes, that's a rigging issue. Nothing is going to be done with the AI until the new skeleton is finalized.

Here you go, sorry for the delay, had to go to my PC:

I hadn't the patience to do screenshots while crouched, so hopefully it is still visible what I mean :)

The sparkling lines look worse when you move.

The chair model is a bit of a mess. I fixed the obvious z-fighting issues and the gap at the top, but it probably has other imperfections.

The FAQ wiki is almost a proper FAQ now. Probably need to spin-off a bunch of the "remedies" for playing older TDM versions into their own article.

Was checking out old translation packs and decided to fire up TDM 1.07. Rightful Property with sub-20 FPS areas yay! ( same areas run at 180FPS with cranked eye candy on 2.12 )

i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!
