Super cheap deal on Radeon HD 2600XT, no spam

I benefit nothing from this, and I don't have a PCI-E motherboard so I can't even get one myself, but I thought I would pass along this short-time deal

http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=...amp;dcaid=17654

It's for an ATI Radeon HD 2600XT PCI-E card with 256MB GDDR3 memory. It costs $75 with free shipping, but there is a $50 mail-in rebate, so you can get it for $25 in the end.

Hope it helps someone, since it really is a pretty good card. My wife has a very similar one (I know hers is an HD 2600, dunno about the XT, and hers has 512 memory, but it's DDR2), and hers runs Doom 3 and Dark Mod very well, and other games (but she mostly plays Sims 2).

I'm on Buy.com's email list since I've bought a few things from there before. I've done rebates with them before too, always has been straightforward and honest, got the rebate checks a month or two later (slow, but that's normal)

That's a great deal even at 75$

I always assumed I'd taste like boot leather.

Pity they don't ship outside the US. :( Typical.

My games | Public Service Announcement: TDM is not set in the Thief universe. The city in which it takes place is not the City from Thief. The player character is not called Garrett. Any person who contradicts these facts will be subjected to disapproving stares.

The FAQ wiki is almost a proper FAQ now. Probably need to spin-off a bunch of the "remedies" for playing older TDM versions into their own article.

Was checking out old translation packs and decided to fire up TDM 1.07. Rightful Property with sub-20 FPS areas yay! ( same areas run at 180FPS with cranked eye candy on 2.12 )

i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!
