I've always loved ID and their products, and I know even though Ravensoft technically developed this game, ID should have been doing quality control. It used the Q4 engine which had me a little interested in some parts because it kept me thinking of what may be possible with our engine. But the gameplay was repetetive, and glitchy! There was so many glitches in the single player game I must have counted over 100 by the end which were all really obvious too, like guys who don't die, floating things brush errors ect.

edit: Well after I mulled it over it wasn't a bad game but it definitely is no RTCW or Doom title in terms of quality.

Over all I';d give the game 6.5/10 and I'm disappointed I bought it and wont be buying another ID labeled game before I try it now. esp, if it says Ravensoft on it

Well, I wouldn't hold it against id software. From what I've read, Ravensoft rewrote most of the engine. They didn't do that great of a job on Quake 4 either. Most of the reviews I have seen say it's fun, despite the glitches. It's a PC game though, so I'm sure a patch or two will address a lot of issues. Actually, I thought I heard there was a patch already.

I didn't think it was a bad game, its a fun little classic-FPS-gameplay romp, imo.

The story might be kind of flat, and the new BJ looks like a douchebag, but its pretty impressive what they did to the old idTech4 Engine with softened shadows ( not perfect, but looks a lot better than super-sharp ones ), Havok Physics etc.

Was checking out old translation packs and decided to fire up TDM 1.07. Rightful Property with sub-20 FPS areas yay! ( same areas run at 180FPS with cranked eye candy on 2.12 )

i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!
