I just clicked on the first few links - are all the photos mega high res? If so, there's bound to be some useful textures in their somewhere, if anyone has a few days to surf it.

OT:

Not to derail, but I'm curious. Domarius, I actually hear your country is very cool. I have a friend who has friends there that he goes an visits every few years for a month. He says they have this wonderful home (he showed me photos  ), big, sitting up on the top/side of a cliff overlooking the ocean. Here's the kicker - he said it was approx $100k American for them. So basically, in my state, you can get a rinky-dink POS house for $200k+, or worse, in my town, because of some bullshit notion that it's becoming "important" in some way, you can get even less for $450k+, while over in Australia, there is apparently a ton of great property at low cost because of the relatively low population density? Is that true? About the only research I did was to look at a photo of earth at night and verify that yes, it looks like there aren't many lights on, Down Under. :)

Well there is a lot to be said for the exchange rate... :) Yeah I love my country, I just took the opportunity to emphasise the rare occasion that something you might find on the net that is really important is from Australia - its just the law of probability, the number of people from each country on the net.

As for the property, there are a lot of great, untouched areas etc. But if you're looking at the lights from a satellite photo, well most of Australia (inland) is just desert, which is why no one lives there.

Thread unintentionally hijacked :)

Yes I was born in western australia, the outback part, but I don't remember it because we moved to victoria before I was 1 year old.

My dad is part singaporian, part polish, I can never remember (his mum was part cantonese), and my mum is part australian, part french.

My dad said I'm "Eurasian", but I'm still confused :)

Was checking out old translation packs and decided to fire up TDM 1.07. Rightful Property with sub-20 FPS areas yay! ( same areas run at 180FPS with cranked eye candy on 2.12 )

i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!
