Haha wow Sotha I didn't even know it was in your nature to use profanity! But if anything is going to bring it out the angry side in people it would have to be Windows 8. Windows 7 still runs great for me so until they release an operating system that (I personally feel is an upgrade) I will stay here. I'm curious though was there a specific reason for going to Windows 8?

Wow that looks fantastic! I actually did the same thing with the layout as well but mine are not as pro as that and much more messy and chaotic

I'll give that a shot, I have already started building the handrails for my pool and thats starting to look rather nice as well

Hm I really like that idea of using spotlight type things to light up the building, also the hand rails are a good idea too! But as for the bridge I feel pretty happy with it and if you get closer you can see they have land to stand on.. The building is a little bit close but I dunno I think it looks cool edit: hm.. I suppose thinking about it now I could make the bridge more like in the one you posted. That would look pretty nice I guess and make it stand out more as an actual bridge

I really think we should do a snowy Christmas themed contest. Maybe we should have it so you only have to design a small house with only a couple of rooms then in the end either before or after the competition we can place all of those houses in a little city. I think that would give us a great and real community built map... Provided people are interested of course

Ok so I have updated the house a fair bit and this is how it turned out... It's not finished but it's definitely come a long way since I first built the house (a big white rectangle )

Using the response part of the stim/response system how do you damage the player? I have tried the effect damage aimed at "player" but it doesn't seem to work

edit: Ok so nevermind the stim/response thing was working it just seems that if I trigger a door that doesn't not. Thanks Grayman!

What is the best way to handle the following. I have had a playaround in DR for the past hour or so and I couldn't find a solution on my own so I guess I will hassle you poor souls again! (sorry) Anyway I have Object A and Object B and a Door.. I want it so that when Object A (which is a moveable object) touches Object B (it can be a location as well doesn't really matter) it triggers the door to open. Is there a good way to do this that anyone knows about? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the advice about the patches I hadn't really thought about that but that is a great way to break up the tiling. As for the gate, yes I did notice the textures are repeating there too and yeah I will fix them up

Well if you keep the icons etc turned on yeah it will be annoying but you know you can turn that stuff off right? I do hate how they try to cater to the lets say "call of duty" class of gamers but at the same time they're a business and want as much profit as possible which is obviously the motivation behind a lot of decisions like that. But hey as long as we can turn off the baby hand holding stuff i'm happy.

Yeah you're right I didn't think of that.. damn Maybe have one with the splash and one without that way if we do a scripted event (that for whatever reason requires peeing) it can be included if we want it. But that's obviously upto Sotha

I can't stop laughing at the builder doing a prayer as he is peeing haha oh my god! But on a serious note that looks pretty damn good Sotha, I agree with Springheel in that the knee bending could do without and also it seemed like the audio stream stopped before the animation did but I guess you already know about that and will tweak it. I don't know if you care enough or if its possible (I assume it is though) but at the end of the stream where it comes into contact with the ground maybe have like little splashes happening, nothing to intense but just a subtle little effect would look pretty cool. As at the moment it looks like the pee is just going through the world. Other than that yeah good job!

I have actually considered taking a break from the Accountant and perhaps making a tiny mission christmas related. Maybe have one where you have to STEAL presents from all the naughty children in the city! Evil but.. still Christmas spirit right

Wow the game keeps getting better and better. I will admit at first I was very apprehensive towards it however it has changed a fair bit (the interface at least) since E3 and since they have removed XP, Takedowns and it seems like that stupid shroud is pretty much gone this game looks very awesome. I'm really looking forward to it!

because sadly we live in a world where you can have shows like Breaking Bad where people get dissolved in barrels of acid and buried in the desert, and you can see many scenes of people being horrifically killed yet if they say the word "fuck" it gets muted or bleeped out. If you want to make it just do it, as I said before it's not a big deal. Hell I might even use the animation myself for the starting area of my map!

Haha guys I don't think Sotha is going to do like a oculus rift 10 000 polygon 4K resolution texture HD penis with pump action triggers.. I think he is talking about like pretty much a finger which probably wouldn't be seen anyway. I mean yeah maybe its so small it doesn't even fit through the guys hands *poor taffer* But I honestly don't think its a big deal and besides The Dark Mod isn't aimed at an audience that can't handle seeing a cock without flipping out (this isn't America here). And if someone is going to try and shoot them in the cock then so be it, it's like people who would watch their Sims shower nude or freaked out over the GTA Hot Coffee debacle. If we were to start drawing the line on gritty things then damn when I shoot a guard in the face and he dies and his fallen down on his black with blood all over his face and an arrow sticking out of his eye that should be more offensive than a little sausage finger

Sotha that idea about the pissing thing sounds great but I was wondering if there is a drunken guard passed out flat on the floor type thing? I know we can put guards to sleep but I want one face down and limbs spread out like he literally passed out from drinking too much. I guess how they awaken would be the hardest part to do.

So I have this custom texture that has a black border but it should be transparent as in gimp it has an alpha layer. It turns out like this... I looked into the wiki but it only talks about making the whole thing transparent whereas I only want where the black is to be transparent.
