  1. Norton AV also saw the creative Alechemy REMOVER as a trojan gen. Had to add it to the list of exceptions.
  2. Likewise completed this just now. Encountered the same issue as some other people before 2.03 with the mission end trigger not working. I'll allow myself to be a little more critical. Despite this I am of the highest opinion of this FM. A few ideas to illustrate the weak points. First of all - brilliant intro video! It feels like a minute of attention even if it would be a short 20 sec one with just obscure sillhouetes. I love these vibes. The whole mission took me months to complete because of the setback on the update and simply some trouble with the PC. It was a fantastic sprawling mission deeply enjoyed. The stressing on the verticality of the whole thing was most ingenious though it's definately not a favourite for me. It reminds of the Thieves Highway that brings some reminiscing from the classic Thief games. One thing all of this brought the point for was that it felt a little claushtrophobic! A lot of doors that have knobs give the illusion that more can be opened, and when all of a sudden it's not - it's restrictive. Makes for a lot of running in circles. In particular in many paths where there's no turning back. The level being as large as it is... was the choice of making each alley small intentional? I thought the approach was cool, the manors were brilliant masterpieces (though again, some doors confusingly led to believe that some places can be approached). To me the strongest point was the verticality and the story. Speaking of videos again and their storytelling role - had a brief outro video been placed at the end, even with shadows and a few phrases on how was it to get back from this quarter of the city, it would simply be a cherry on the cake for the player's final impressions. Even without the technical CGI-ishness a lot of games do. The gameplay was excellent as well, it's just a personal bias that probably some people have against verticality and the restrictions in brings in terms of manouvering spacing. I don't know where I'm getting this feeling. Somewhere it's almost like even the verticality Deadly Shadows had felt more open (despite places like the Old Quarter or South Quarter rooftops actually being really, really tiny). One more thing - the place was too colourful for my taste. The streets should've been dirtier while the insides keep the comfy-ness that is well placed. Bravo to all those involved.
  3. For the purpose of not writing in another thread I'll do it here. Is there any way to enable the monitor refresh rate to 72 Hz in-game? There is a conveniantly placed widescreen togglable settings for 16:9 and vice versa to 4:3 but... not this crucial graphics option. The game runs by default at 60 Hz. Whenever it's running at 60 - screen tearing may occur due to circumstances that may be, this in turn hits performance because by running the game at 30 FPS by default, any framerate hit will be more noticeable, whereas with 60 FPS as the max. the human eye can't notice it. My current LG Flatron screen supports 72. Please tell me if there's a console command for that to use and thanks in advance.
  4. I second the last question. Great job. This was missed a lot by the community (we're in read only mode usually).
  5. On Revenants yeah, but if going berserk - better to group them and use mines, fire arrows in areas where you're sure you need to figure out what to search for (cause they become an annoyance to progress the story for the first time). Zombies were killable, reliably and certainly as well with holy water and fire arrows. Swords were useless. I think that adds to the tension in Thief and might add it to TDM. Though arguably it's not the scary Silent Hill we may dream of. I don't know what else can change them for the better. Oh and maybe more sounds for them and the revenants.
  6. Correct me, but zombies were almost impossible to kill with the sword/dagger in Thief 1,2, DS. I think they should be stronger possibly. Or to let them have hit boxes for hits in the head counting more, as an analogy to shooting them in the head. To me it's fairly reasonable to expect a only a few cans of holy water to shoot only the ones I have to. I can play Deus Ex as if it's Quake with purging everything that moves on the map. But not Thief and definately not TDM. It's just not that game. Stealth is much better here, so no reason to go full strafing, rocket fire arrow launching everywhere.
  7. Best wishes in those steps and take care of yourself! All will come in due time. That is more than reasonable to understand for us.
  8. It it reminiscent of the famous scene in the Silent Hill movie if you saw that. It must be done right to work and needs a lot of testing. Also the sound configuration of zombies/haunts is lackluster in my opinion. They need a moreconvincing one, akin to that in Thief for Haunts and for zombies, something what No More Room in Hell has. Probably nobody would complain if some sounds would be borrowed from an old movie or game because I saw a lot of these reused multiple times and nobody cares. I doubt anybody notices things like that, very weird when you think about it. Not really a fan of piracy too, but good growls are a thing of good editing mostly.
  9. A little late but finally done. Everything is as was mentioned by others - top notch! The narrative is beautiful, readables abundandant and rich to give a sense of a real mansion with a life of its own with everyone trying to make ends meet their own hidden way. The only critical outlook would be directed towards the pathing of the elite guards who were really a pain to my exploration, but their silence really does give away how professional they are. Kinda like the Keeper hunters from Thief 3. Loved that approach. To note though that the lady guarded sometimes went to bed with the body glitching out and floating above the bed. With a few tweaks for bug squashing this definately didn't lose anything in the way of being called one of the best FM's for TDM. Capital!
  10. Can't a middle ground be found so as to make zombies eat players that lose their patience sneaking between them? They shouldn't necesarily hear everything obviously.
  11. I'll go on later today after some works and report on the rest of the mission. It's justifiably on solid grounds for the praise as an outstanding FM already.
  12. From a mechanical point of view it would make perfect sense. But if I ever had started to build a mission I would instead use well placed scripts, even if my soul would be condemned to the eternal pits of hell of the heretical sin of linearity. All to avoid running zombies. Ever after the trend with fast zombies was given form in many titles, I took the most effort to avoid those motion pictures/games.
  13. I tried it and it did not seem to me that bad. Much worse was the localization of Sea Dogs To Each His Own, but that's a pure RPG with a team of far worse communication skills anyway. Russian won't be learned by anyone mostly because how hard it is in grammar and so forth. Only dedicated people to Dostoievski, Tolstoi, Pushkin, Lermontov, Gorikii will try that, if they granted weren't daunted by the huge cultural fence. So quite unlikely that people will learn Russian just for Pathologic. Generally there's almost no games from ex-USSR because of the poor economy our countries have. But there are glimpses of hope with Stalker, Ice Pick Lodge games, Naval Action seemed promising a while ago... and that's about it.
  14. We ought to look at John Romero's movie Night of the Living Dead and the whole philosophy behind the early zombie movies to understand what they were terrifying for. I mean, not running zombies like in new zombie games. I mean zombies that are crawling but that are huge in numbers. That have to be outsmarted. A horde to be understood. It's not like scary as in the Silent Hill way of course. It's just a constant psychological pressure that they are around and that even if they are slow, they constantly move towards you. Maybe even make them harder to kill than Haunts and make only hits in the head count for anything on hardcore difficulty. Which expains the success of No More Room in Hell projects and other revivals of zombies done the good old ways. Pardon the nostalgia.
  15. Not sure if you're aware of it : http://store.steampowered.com/app/384110/ An artsy existentialist 1'st game poised with philosophical problems on man's condition, filled with allegories and determined to question numerous topics in the eastern country's steepe realities. No horror. Just an atmosphere of a plague. It's a kind of a perpetual museum into everything that is russian culture from medieval ages to 20'th century (gotta love the bandit grinning ).
  16. Yes, I did but only through the link provided. Without it I couldn't find the group at all. There must be something wrong with the settings I'm almost certain, otherwise it wouldn't be membership by invite only. Edit group permissions doesn't change that somewhere?
  17. Thanks for the answer. You've guessed it right that my device also has limited memory and it's very frustrating to have a relatively free (albeit no huge) memory pool on the SD card and internal memory of 1.70 GB with factory apps that, if all kept up to date just get the phone to it's limits of memory. I'll give it a shot, though afraid of losing already all the stuff I gathered over the years. You know, my dream is this ability of the phone to launch Riven and other Point & Clicks over ScummVM at ease even when I'm beyond all zones for phone operating networks in the middle of nowhere. With limited memory that's just a luxury and I gotta compromise for nececities like Flashlight, some message app, Google pre-loaded stuff etc. The closest thing would probably be this for me: https://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Z3_Info But they don't have specifically my thing. I don't have neither 8, neither 16, neither 32 GB of Memory. Just 1.70. It's also a Sony 2203 model E3. I have no idea how things like these work and the last thing I need is another broken device. By the way about phones being tracking devices: at this point most phones, even old button Nokias and Motorolas are tracked without internet and info is stocked on where you make your phone calls, simply through the network. It's stocked at your operator's servers. People who did some crime, who don't want to be tracked or who do underground activity against their government for whatever purposes may be - leave their phones home or in the car to not expose themselves. In my country this is done all the time because bribes and corruption is a routine and mafia alike Italy's familias most worthy from 40 years ago wars are ruling the board. It is good to have mods like these at any rate for a choice but if you're not doing anything anti-gov. the worst to be afraid is bugs rigged at the apartment/working place/car. Because even here, realiable and respected operators don't hand out personal data like that even for notorious criminal authorities. It must be done through the prosecutor and during an official investigation. Very likely new smartphones can intercept sounds even if you're not in a conversation, though someone has to really put some serious effort into getting access to that.

    TDM app

A shame of course. Again proves that it's not that easy. Even for St. Lucia as it's a pre-loaded map. Very useful would it be to have the app on Google Play considering how much it's loaded with other apps.
  19. Like getting cheap internet 10 years ago. Murphy's law!
  20. I'm interested in your opinion. A girl that was somewhat close used to have a phone with Win 8 and said she couldn't figure for the life of her how to manage that phone and how everything works. The idea of a phone on the Windows OS sounds interesting and considering the performance on some devices and the temporary slide of popularity (possibly even permanent until further notice) the prices might go down really fast on Microsoft Lumias. What do you make of the OS on phones versus the PC's? Currently I own a Sony Xperia E3 but Android 4.4 KitKat looks like the worst place to start with the rooting idea and it won't work. Already broke 2 SD cards on other tablets trying to figure how to factory reset them (1 was on Android 2 something and the other on Android 4.1 or 4.2). Thing is, that even with Android being really mobile and all, without rooting and with really limited storage it's only a little better than a button phone. I know the new Android after circa 5.0 allows for good options for the SD card and good space management but I was out of luck to get to that version of the OS. Eventually I'll switch to something new but at the time being I don't see leaving what I have until a few years down the line when this phone will start malfunctioning (the warranty is long gone already anyway, but still the goal isn't to drive into the grave either). Though Windows isn't perfect, having all devices at home on this OS would ease certain things out, as essentially things like a Printer, Scanner are very picky about driver compatibility, especially if they are old so after 16 years of Windows and a little more on DOS - moving to Apple or Linux would feel like Muhammad pushing the mountain. Thanks in advance.
  21. There's a problem that the group can be entered only by someone else's invitation. I couldn't find it for this reason through normal search functionality. Only the link works to find the group. Can you make the group as public as possible in the settings? Must be outdated configuration.
  22. The best comedy parody we'll probably get until elections on him.
  23. You chose your friends well for your voice is almost identical.
  24. Thank you. Would you commend for this utility to be available on torrent sites? Your opinion matters. Have a good day.
