  1. Hmm with your rig you shouldn't be having those kinds of problems. I am working on a new version of Cauldron that might fix some of these issues. Could I possible get you to test some things out on your PC? It shouldn't take too long, just want to see if this is a mission problem or a 2.06 problem.
  2. Did you dmap 1.65 using the 2.06 build? EDIT: Select your fun_static >scripts>export to .ase
  3. Ill look around my maps and see if I can find a solid example of this- I am using the hotfix build (2.07) and I am not seeing these problems so it may have been resolved.
  4. This is definitely something that popped up in 2.06. I've had the same problem, particularly with stairs or complex brush work. The only thing I could do was completely rebuild the stairs or brushwork.
  5. I've done something very similar to this. In my setup, the chain links are pretty big so it might not work for what you are doing. There is a minor bug in the map where the chain links start visible when they shouldn't be. You just need to activate the elevator once and they will start disappearing correctly. https://www.dropbox.com/s/4tdow3san4v4cob/elevator_test.map?dl=0
  6. Hello! Cauldron V2 is almost ready and I need a few more testers to help out with 2.06 release version. If you don't have access to the beta thread, PM me. http://forums.thedarkmod.com/topic/19572-cauldron-v2-beta/ Knowledge of the map is a plus, but not necessary. This is a final catch all for any bugs / issues so a range of players and hardware is welcomed. I'll be posting the new test version sometime this weekend. Your help is appreciated!
  7. Cauldron V2 beta is ready with a lots of fixes and changes! If you are interesting in testing the new version head over here: http://forums.thedarkmod.com/topic/19572-cauldron-v2-beta/?do=findComment&comment=425344 Please PM if you need access. Thanks!
  8. Hey awesome! Glad that got a fix. I was still having some problems with reloadimages and a crash on reloadengine. I'll mess around with it this weekend and report back some specifics.
  9. Thats good news- thanks for the update!
  10. Yeah I did the key binding trick and just turned off the lightgem. I ended up going back to 2.05 to take my env shots. Had a similar thing, 2 were good and the rest were just identical.
  11. Doesn't work. All 6 shots come out like this:
  12. Have you guys had any reports on envshot being broken? I am having some issues with it.
  13. Also- when can we expect this update to get released?
  14. Yep its related. r_skipRender stills creates a crash for me. As Judith mentioned this is a high priority bug as we are constantly reloading images and the engine itself when adding new files or changing stuff.
  15. Hello! I've been having a host of weird AA/ graphics problems with 2.06. Ill post them here and create bug reports when necessary (sorry if these are redundant in other threads) Windows 10. NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980. (Latest drivers) TDM 2.06 (Both 32 and 64 bit) Problem 1- AA forces fullscreen - While in windowed mode + (advanced render features off / SS/ Post/ect) - If I click AA on, it forces fullscreen mode even after restart. I have to disable AA and then restart to get back into window mode. Problem 2- AA and my skyboxes -While AA is turned on + (forced fullscreen, advanced render features off). My skyboxes get this weird windowed effect in them. If I turn bloom on, the effect is very noticeable and creates a huge FPS drop. Some screenshots: Cauldron: With Bloom: Volta and the Stone: with bloom: I did try removing the fog light I use in the skybox, but the problem persisted. Problem 3- Water shader - All advanced features off including AA. I get these very weird black lines on my water shader. Material file: volta_water_material.txt I want to make sure these are legit mod bugs before filing reports, so please let me know if you have the same problems or if these are already filed and being tracked. Thanks!
  16. Found a minor bug- The wiki states: It is no longer necessary to explicitly specify the duration of a video file, as it was for the ROQ files. Goldwell and I have both tested this and its necessary to specify a time in milliseconds in order to bring the objectives screen up after the video is done.
  17. Yeah that would be rad if you have the time!
  18. Hm so I guess I need to constantly group and ungroup them. What I am asking for is an edit group toggle rather than having to use two hotkeys to constantly group and ungroup. So you would group them --> toggle a group edit mode---> make a change---> toggle edit mode again. Similar to the "select group parts" function for func_statics. This would maintain consistency across how sub-objects are edited for both func_statics and groups.
  19. Role-playing is part of the fun for me!
  20. Hello! I just want to say all of the new additions to DR are fantastic. Thanks for continuing to support this! That being said, is it possible to look at adding an edit> group feature? Something similar to how combined function statics work. Apologies if this is already on the backlog. EDIT: Didn't see this in the bug report so I made one here: http://bugs.thedarkmod.com/view.php?id=4863
  21. Hmm the rope arrow bug has happened to a few people. I will look into this. Yeah, lots of people have been getting stuck in this mission (especially since 2.06). I have fixed the problem and will have and updated version out soon! The next update is version 2.0 so it will have a ton of fixes: - Fix for getting stuck - Overall better lighting and readability - Balancing tweaks - Slightly better performance in certain areas. - High res intro video - Lots of other minor stuff. So if you can wait, its worth it. Unfortunately, the update wont work with your saves sadly.
  22. This is incredible and a huge addition to the mod. I just hooked up my missions with the high res .mp4s and it adds so much. Huge thanks for doing this!!
  23. Nice! Yeah stairs are tough. You might try to build a hexagon or octagon lighthouse to make the math a little easier when constructing steps and interior walls. I found this guy and thought it was pretty cool looking: Might not be the style you are going for, but I just thought it was neat.
  24. Yeah I am getting in even after turning off multi-core and FBO. Its a bummer.
