  1. Maybe not as far as you're concerned. Note: I'm not saying it should be in the first release, but it shouldn't be overlooked as an option to be added in at a later date once the mod up and running and has a constantly stable community and fan base.
  2. Perhaps when the mod is out you could have a button on the page so people can donate some moolah for all your hard work via PayPal if they so choose.
  3. Just checked and it is available over Steam. You can get the Doom 3 Pack for $30 or Doom 3 and Resurrection Of Evil separately for $20 each. Not that it matters though I suppose. If you don't want to use Steam I won't give a crap, and I'm sure most users here won't either.
  4. Isn't Doom 3 available on Steam now anyway? Wouldn't this mean that TDM could be distributed over the Steam network, as well as being available as a separate download? I'm not saying you should make it available over Steam, but if you could, it would probably help spread awareness of TDM. Thief 3 on Steam + Doom 3 on Steam = Potential fans of TDM on Steam.
  5. Despite my distaste for it, I'm reminded of a Little Britain quote: "If you eat half the cake you normally would, it's half the calories, and because it's half the calories you can eat twice as much." It worries me that some people probably think like that.
  6. Slowly dragging a giant camera around over a map doesn't sound fun. It sounds tedious.

    Man

Does he mean "laughing at someone else's misfortune," though? If so, he's an ass. No offence Unstoppable
  8. The film is a pile of turd made to entertain. It is at no point made to be scientifically accurate or true. End.
  9. If you can't emulate real life, why the hell am I here?
  10. While that's true, the Dark Engine was NOT designed for fan missions. It was designed so that the creators of the game could actually make the game. This is a toolkit to make fan missions and, as far as I'm concerned, it should be less limited than a "professional" release because it doesn't have the limitations of what the original creators had in mind for their single player game / story arc. That means, limited saves should be up to the mapper. After all, the mapper is in control of the difficulty of his/her map, right? Surely, certain maps could have a mapper defined variable of the number of saves for each difficulty on their map that they release? That probably wasn't very clear. If not, please say so and I'll try to extrapolate on my ideas. Extrapolate is probably the wrong word to use, but... Whatever.
  11. I never had a problem with use and frob being on the same button. Mostly because I wouldn't have my inventory open unless I was specifically looking for something in it. As long as it's clear that you have something highlighted in your view then there shouldn't really be a problem.
  12. Far fetched? We're dealing with a world where arrows can spawn vines and mass amounts of moss. I think acid is about as believable as the water. Personally, I think it's quite a good idea.
  13. I meant "main" audience as in the winner of this poll, and nothing more. Sorry, I wasn't very clear.
  14. Just wondering: Is there a chance the results of this poll could have an effect on the outcome of the final product, or are you [the coders / programmers] making the game solely for your entertainment? I know you take into account suggestions and ideas for gameplay options from followers of the mod, but will the difficulty (which is essentially the AI as far as you are concerned) of the mod be altered to appease the "main" audience?
  15. Isn't that the same as the creep button?
  16. Speaking of moss arrows, will TDP be keeping the moss in the mouth trick from T:DS? I never used it seriously, but it was funny to do non-the-less.
  17. If moss arrows start causing guards to be more alert in the one environment you're likely to need it, then it just doesn't seem worth having them... Although, I never really use them anyway.
  18. Was it MGS that gave you a rating at the end of the game? The more you saved the lower your rating. It also had automatic checkpoints. The more you died, the lower the rating... Couldn't a rating system be implemented so that if you save you get a lower rating? That would give you something more to play for, in effect giving you more to lose if you fail. Just a thought. Perhaps it's already been mentioned.
  19. All right then. I've got to do some SFX recording so I'll see what I can whip up. I assume you want them in .wav form?
  20. I thought NH was handling everything in terms of sound, but this is something I could possibly help out in a bit. I don't want to add my name to any lists, but if I have some sounds that I feel might be usable, would someone be willing to give them a listen? Is there a list of sounds you're after?
