  1. Hopefully the date won't end straight after the movie, which would alter the Money/Hour number.
  2. Where does Pepsi Man fall into all of this? Good or bad?
  3. If you pose a riddle to a computer, can it THINK about the answer?
  4. I stopped watching House when it became glaringlly obvious that it was all about patients lying in some way or another to their doctor.
  5. That explains the obesity problem in America then.
  6. All the audience wanting more in FMs? True. All the audience having mastered Thief? False. I haven't mastered Thief but I'm still following (and awaiting the release of) TDM, and I'd wager I'm not the only one.
  7. Everyone needs to winston out a bit, and accept the truth... I, and everyone that agrees with me, is correct. Points to Zylon.
  8. Why don't you make the standard gas visible with automatic breath-holding, and if a mapper wants invisible gas, with button pressing, let them code it in. After all, isn't that what TDM is all about? Letting mappers do their own thing?
  9. I was talking about breath-holding in general. Just for the record: I'm for automatic breath-holding...
  10. Yes. Why make something more complex than it needs to be?
  11. A good reason for adding the breath holding feature is the puzzle increase. Take any standard puzzle. Stick it in a gas filled room. Standard, 'realistic' puzzle timer. If you fail to complete the puzzle before you run out of air; You die. Regarding complexity. Something is only as complex as you make it... While I don't know anything about coding, I'm sure that (mostly nonsense) sentance still stands.
  12. Would it be possible to set how much damage the gas does every successful 'hit'? That way, a trap could be set with extremely high damage on each hit. After all, don't you want the mapper to be in control of their traps?
  13. The game does seem rather short compared to previous TR experiences... I've had it about 3 days and I'm over half-way through... Which is pretty good going for me. The puzzles aren't as immense as they were in previous games*. That said, I only ever finished 1 and 2. I bought 4 and got bored with it. Perhaps I'll dig it out again... Anyhoo, it's seems an awful lot like Splinter Cell. Anyone agree? *See: The Cistern, TR1.
  14. You never answered my question...
  15. I have to say that it was DoomEd. The simpleton theory holds out though... God bless the double click. It'll work wonders, even for people like me. Thank you. OrbWeaver and sparhawk, your interest and patience knows bounds that I shall never understand! Does that sound gay?

    Doomed

I don't make maps for games usually, but I decided I'd start using DoomEd so as to have some experience with the program. However, I seem to be having some trouble with it. Wether I've set it up badly (Most probable) or my install is corrupt (Possible) I don't know. Anyhoo, on to the problem: In the textures inspector, there's nothing. Nothing at all. I've Googled for a soloution, but i haven't found anything useful. I downloaded the "clean texture pack" to see if that would fix the problem, but it didn't. Any suggestions (Other than 'Fire! And lots of it!') to help a simpleton like myself would be muchly appreciated. I'm sure it's something simple i.e. I need to check/uncheck a box in the preferences... Thanks in advance.
  17. If your main priority is to make a toolset, shouldn't you include everything you can? By removing a pirticular tool, you remove a possible option for a mapper to expand their level... Make the orb and let the mapper choose wether it is available in the map or not.
  18. I'm liking this. I'm liking this a lot.
  19. Why stop at a quarter? Go all the way!
  20. Surely the sensible choice would be to have a seperate button for Quench Flame. I say sensible....
  21. Haha, true. Perhaps that's where I went wrong.
  22. It's also a great way to piss them off. I guess it depends on whether they're party people or not...
  23. I reckon just a picture of one of the dodgy hallways would be good. Simple, creepy, and a WTF factor. That is what the games are all about after all.
