    I feel aweful now. I threw out a Geforce 4 ti4600 when I could have given it to a user here who has garbage integrated graphics from a decade ago......

    I'm such an idiot: I spent the last half hour trying to get my Linux environment to boot on an old machine. The Linux is 64-bit and the machine is a P4.....

    We now have out-of-the-box support for Fermi cards in live Linux distros like Knoppix with Nouveau. That's awesome! I played Xonotic, but I wonder if TDM would run on Nouveau...

      I thought nouveau 3D relied on mesa. Has that changed? If so, this is an interesting development... :)

    Do you think the TDM guards play baseball in their off-duty hours? They're so good at nailing me with those rocks from far away! lol

    I love how the guards run over to investigate if they detect something suspitious (even if they do not see you), instead of calmly walking over and giving the player plenty of time to move. Also, they can handle doors being closed in their faces much better now!

      All grayman's work that. They can be even more evil I've noticed. TDM 2.03 is the first release where I've had to learn how to use flashbombs, when they post a couple of guys with swords out at doors and stairs then send someone else to sweep the shadows. Evil!

    Never saw this article about Daikatana before. http://www.dallasobserver.com/1999-01-14/news/stormy-weather/ It makes one appreciate the fact that a game even came out. I can't imagine being at such a chaotic place, and the internal communications cracked me up.

    Ever see a board that pushes 1.48V to a Phenom II CPU by *default*? I was scratching my head wondering why one machine got so hot... It happily runs at 1.36 now.

    Player tries to go down a ladder by facing the opposite direction and then curses ladders in FPP games. lol

    Broke my headphones, so ordered a new pair even though they may still have a warranty. I probably caused the short anyway.

    an exercise bike... the *last* thing that should require an external power adapter. Surely riding on the thing can charge an ultra-capacitor, which powers the onboard computer for a wile even if you stop riding?

    Just discovered how cool the "shelf" plugin for Compiz is. When I first used Compiz, I spent like 2 hours playing with it and I still haven't mastered all its cool features.

    You know you're getting old when current games have better real-time graphics than the pre-rendered scenes from games you used to play "back in the day".
